“He’s Just a Gamer”: Pokimane Shares Hilarious Adin Ross Messages from Her Twitch Chat

On March 4, 2025, prominent Twitch streamer Imane “Pokimane”shared her reactions to discussions unfolding in her chat. For those unfamiliar with Twitch, users have the ability to review a chat history of specific channels, a feature designed to help streamers maintain community guidelines by monitoring viewer engagement.

To access the chat history of a particular user, viewers can simply type /user (username). During her stream, Pokimane decided to explore the chat activity of fellow streamer Adin Ross, encouraged by a viewer’s suggestion. Initially, she joked about the likelihood of Ross’s participation in her chat:

“Adin Ross? I don’t think he has ever written in my chat.”

To her surprise, she discovered several of Ross’s past messages, which made her laugh. Reacting to the findings, she exclaimed:

“Oh, he has. ‘Yo, what’s good,’ ‘Nice to meet you,’ ‘Hey, how are you doing?’ ‘Can I play?’ It’s so cute (laughs). Why are these texts so cute to see? ‘Hey, can I join this lobby?’ ‘Donda or CLB,’ ‘Wanna play GTA?’ He’s just a gamer. I guess he’s more of a gamer than I thought.”

Pokimane Addresses xQc and Adin Ross Discussions

In recent news, Adin Ross has been unbanned on Twitch, allowing him to collaborate with other streamers again, a significant opportunity given Twitch’s policy against banned users working with active creators.

During a session with Adin Ross, Felix “xQc”expressed skepticism regarding a potential collaboration between Pokimane and Ross, fearing it could have negative repercussions for her brand and community. xQc commented:

“Probably not (a collaboration between Adin Ross and Pokimane). People will hold it against her forever. (They) will say she’s promoting bad and evil and all that.”

When a viewer mentioned this exchange, Pokimane revealed that she had not been following the ongoing internet discussions, as she had taken a break from social media to clear her mind:

“I was gone. I did not touch Twitter or TikTok, except maybe once during the music video time. My brain feels so smooth and clear. It’s like I washed it, it’s like I gave my brain a bath.”

The relationship between Adin Ross and Pokimane has been tumultuous in the past, with Ross having openly criticized her viewpoints. Conversely, Pokimane has voiced her concerns about the streaming platform Kick, particularly after Ross used derogatory language towards her following her remarks on Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl performance—a point of tension given Ross’s association with Drake.
