The Title Update 1 introduced a delightful addition: the ability to customize Alma’s outfits. This enhancement offers players an opportunity to personalize this character in a straightforward and user-friendly manner.
Changing Alma’s Outfit in Monster Hunter Wilds
Upon its initial release, Monster Hunter Wilds allowed players to customize their hunters and Palicos, and as players advance in the story, options for customizing Seikrets also opened up. With the latest Title Update 1, researchers discovered even more dress-up options for Alma, enriching the recycling of character aesthetic.
To begin the customization process, players must first gain unrestricted access to their tent, which becomes available after settling in Windward Plains during Chapter 1. This tent serves as a hub for all customization activities throughout the game, including modifications for Alma.
Once inside the tent, navigate to the menu located in the bottom left corner of the screen. You will find a tab on the far right labeled Appearance Menu. Select ‘Change Appearance’ at the top of this menu, where you will come across two primary options: one for changing your hunter’s look and another for ‘Change Alma’s Outfit’. Choose the latter to access Alma’s outfit customization interface.
Within the outfit selection menu, players have the option to choose from any previously unlocked outfits, complete with a preview feature. Additionally, successful completion of the ‘Apple of Her Eye’ quest unlocks a unique customization option for Alma’s glasses. After finalizing your selections, be sure to click ‘Save’ to immediately apply the changes, allowing you to admire Alma’s new style as you exit your tent. She can be spotted right outside your tent or at the Grand Hub, making it easy to see her updated appearance.
Available Outfits for Alma in Monster Hunter Wilds
Currently, players can choose from three distinct outfits for Alma in Monster Hunter Wilds, including her original outfit. You are free to switch between these options at any time. However, note that these outfits cannot be customized in terms of color or design patterns, unlike the options available for your hunter, Palico, or Seikret.
Handler’s Outfit
Alma’s default outfit is the Handler’s outfit, which she dons from the outset of the game.
Scrivener’s Coat
The Scrivener’s Coat is a special outfit offered for free via the DLC store, celebrating the impressive milestone of 10 million copies sold.
New World Commission
Finally, the New World Commission outfit can be obtained from the DLC store for a price of $5.99 USD, drawing inspiration from the classic styles featured in the previous installment, Monster Hunter World.
