BTS’ j-hope Follows ATEEZ on TikTok: Fans Excited as He Becomes the Only Non-HYBE Artist on the List

BTS’s j-hope has recently stirred excitement among fans with his engaging activity on TikTok. As revealed by the account @atzpopbase on April 2nd, j-hope has begun following ATEEZ, marking them as the sole non-HYBE group included in his following list.

Before this surprising addition, j-hope was only following eight other groups, all affiliated with HYBE: BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, KATSEYE, SEVENTEEN, &TEAM, and ILLIT. The decision to follow ATEEZ, who are managed by KQ ENTERTAINMENT, has ignited curiosity and speculation within the fandom.

This unexpected choice has generated significant fan excitement, with many questioning whether a potential collaboration is in the works. Heightening this speculation, j-hope had previously shown support by liking a dance challenge video featuring ATEEZ member Mingi, which only added to the fans’ hopes.

Fans eagerly expressed their excitement on social media regarding this new connection between two influential groups. One fan stated:

“Our worlds colliding”

“The moment I saw ATEEZ perform ‘BST’ at MAMA, I thought, ‘Hobi, please work with ATEEZ’…and now, it feels like it’s happening!”said another excited fan.

“I believe Hobi would love Mingi’s production style. A collaboration is a must!”commented a netizen.

“I always knew that BTS would appreciate ATEEZ. I was just waiting for this day to come,”wrote a user on X.

“I envision Jimin and Wooyoung collaborating on a dance at an upcoming event, while Jungkook and San deliver an electrifying performance. Suga and Hongjoong could create music together, and then there’s the possibility of Yunho, Mingi, and J-Hope rocking the stage. Just think about it!”another user commented.

This surge in excitement has led many fans to reminisce about past encounters between BTS and ATEEZ while joyously celebrating the recent developments. Observations from fans included:

“If you’d told me back in 2018 that any of this would happen, I would have fainted… ARMYS and ATINYs unite!”said one fan.

“Seeing all this interaction between Bangtan and ATEEZ nowadays has me feeling nostalgic—2020 me would have been ecstatic!”commented another.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t help but get overwhelmed by this. I’ve dreamed of this day for so long… It used to be just that one memorable performance at MAMA,”expressed a fan.

“The ATINY in me is ecstatic—ATEEZ is my ultimate bias group along with TXT!”added another follower.

Collaborative Opportunities Between BTS’ J-Hope and ATEEZ

In addition to his recent interactions with ATEEZ, j-hope previously collaborated with ATEEZ’s San on a TikTok dance challenge. This video served as a promotional feature for j-hope’s single “Sweet Dreams,”which debuted on March 7, 2025.

During a livestream on March 10, San expressed admiration for j-hope, describing him as incredibly kind and supportive. He stated:

“First things first, he’s an absolute angel. He was even more angelic than I had pictured; he constantly praised me. He mentioned how popular I’ve become, and even though I’m just a junior artist, he recognized my efforts. I really froze up from nerves; I was way too nervous.”

San also acknowledged that BTS has significantly “paved the way”for aspiring artists like himself, admitting he wished he had conveyed more gratitude at the time:

“In K-pop, they have smoothed the path for us juniors, and I really should have expressed my appreciation better, but I got too nervous. I just kept saying ‘thank you’ repeatedly. I was so grateful to him.”

Currently, j-hope is on his inaugural solo world tour, titled “HOPE ON THE STAGE,”which kicked off with a three-night series at Seoul’s KSPO Dome, beginning on February 28, 2025.

Following his performances in Seoul, j-hope’s tour will take him across North America to perform at renowned venues, including the Barclays Center in New York, Allstate Arena in Chicago, and BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Afterward, the tour progresses into Asia, with dates set for Manila on April 12 and 13, Saitama on April 19 and 20, Singapore on April 26 and 27, and Jakarta on May 3 and 4.

The tour itinerary also includes upcoming shows in Bangkok on May 10 and 11, Macau on May 17 and 18, and Taipei on May 24 and 25, culminating with a grand finale in Osaka on June 1.
