Genshin Impact 5.6 Leaks: Pre-Farming Ifa’s Materials and One Major Challenge Ahead

Recent leaks have unveiled comprehensive details about Ifa’s materials in Genshin Impact Version 5.6, covering both his Ascension and Talent-leveling needs. Players eager to optimize Ifa upon his debut in the upcoming banners can begin pre-farming, as most required items are already identified. Ifa is one of the two newly confirmed playable characters in Version 5.6 and hails from Natlan, initially introduced as an NPC during the Version 5.5 quests. The beta testing phase for Version 5.6 has revealed a significant portion of his character kit.

The leaks categorize Ifa as a 4-star catalyst user with a primary role as a healer. His Elemental Skill puts him in a state called Nightsoul’s Blessing, enabling him to hover and simultaneously deal damage and heal teammates with projectile attacks. This healing mechanism appears to be reminiscent of Barbara’s abilities, suggesting that most of Ifa’s healing will stem from his offensive actions. Furthermore, Ifa is anticipated to enhance the team’s Swirl and Electro-Charged damage, adding more utility to his kit.

One Item Not Ready For Pre-Farming

As detailed in the leaks, players should consider pre-farming materials for Ifa to maximize his base capabilities effectively. A comprehensive list of the materials he requires, including their quantities, is available on Honey Hunter World. While most materials can be pre-farmed, there is one notable exception: the missing item, believed to drop from a new weekly boss introduced in Version 5.6, which cannot be farmed until the update goes live.

Pre-farming is an efficient strategy for players aiming to elevate Ifa to Level 90 immediately after acquiring him from the banners. However, it’s essential to note that materials listed in the leaks may undergo changes; thus, players might need to engage in additional farming once Ifa’s official kit is finalized.

Where & How to Pre-Farm Ifa’s Ascension Materials

Most Farming Will Occur in Natlan

The Ascension materials for Ifa, as per the leaks on Honey Hunter World, begin with Vayuda Turquoise stones. As an Anemo character, these stones are relatively reliable to farm since their availability is unlikely to change. They can be obtained by defeating Anemo-affiliated bosses such as Anemo Hypostasis, Tenebrous Papilla, Maguu Kenki, Solitary Suanni, and Stormterror. Unfortunately, players cannot collect Vayuda Turquoise stones simultaneously while farming other materials related to Ifa.

As a tip for material efficiency, lower-tier Vayuda Turquoise stones can be upgraded into higher-tier variants via the Alchemy Table in Genshin Impact, a method that also applies to other drops and Talent Books.

Additionally, Ifa will require the Sparkless Statue Core, a material that drops from the recently introduced Lava Dragon Statue. This ongoing demand highlights its availability for pre-farming, although players may need to defeat the boss several times to gather sufficient quantities. For reference, this item is also part of Varesa’s material requirements.

The next material required is the Saurian Claw Succulent, identified as a Local Specialty in Natlan. Primarily located around the Sulfurous Veins subregion, Ifa will need a total of 168 of these, while only 90 nodes exist on the map. Since Saurian Claw Succulent respawns every 48 hours, optimizing farming routes is critical. For assistance, consider utilizing the interactive map available on HoYoLAB.

Lastly, Ifa’s Ascension materials include Juvenile Fang, Seasoned Fang, and Tyrant’s Fang, all of which are dropped by Natlan Saurian enemies. If players need additional Mora (costing 420,000 for Ascension and 1,673,400 for leveling up), engaging in Blossom of Wealth activities in Natlan can yield both Fangs and Mora.

Where & How to Pre-Farm Ifa’s Talent Materials

An Absence of One Item May Delay Ifa’s Upgrades

In terms of Talent materials, Ifa utilizes both Juvenile Fang, Seasoned Fang, and Tyrant’s Fang in significant quantities. Players can acquire additional Fang materials through Paimon’s Bargains, but the monthly limit on each type constrains this option. According to the leaks, Ifa will also require Conflict books—specifically, Teachings of Conflict, Guide to Conflict, and Philosophies of Conflict—and these can be farmed from the Blazing Ruins Domain in Natlan during Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Due to the daily limits in Genshin Impact, securing enough Talent books can become a time-intensive endeavor.

Another Talent material listed in the leaks remains unnamed, likely dropping from the new weekly boss set to arrive with Version 5.6. Given its uncertain drop rates—especially considering that bosses generally yield a variety of items—gathering this wealth of materials might prolong efforts to fully upgrade Ifa.

Upon reaching level 9 for each Talent, players must invest a Crown of Insight to hit the maximum Talent level. These rare materials can be obtained as rewards from specific limited-time events and reputation systems, with one available for purchase monthly via Paimon’s Bargains. Overall, the estimated cost to upgrade all of Ifa’s Talents to their peak level is around 4,957,500 Mora, making pre-farming an invaluable strategy.
