Highlights from the Teaser
The teaser opens dramatically with Glinda darting outside, her attention drawn to a building where glass is shattering ominously. “Elphaba, I know you’re out here. Just come in before the monkeys spot you,” she urgently calls out. The scene shifts as Elphaba emerges from the darkness, asserting, “There’s no going back. This is between the wizard and me.”
The teaser continues, showcasing Fiyero leading a small army. As Elphaba soars through the sky, she scrawls the words “Our Wizard Lies” in the clouds. The scene transitions to Glinda revisiting the tower where she last encountered Elphaba. In a heartfelt reunion, Glinda leans against Elphaba and suggests, “Think of what we could do together.”
In a turning moment, Fiyero aims a pistol at Elphaba but unexpectedly redirects his weapon at the Wizard, showcasing his betrayal. “You’re the only friend I ever had,” Elphaba confides, to which Glinda responds, “And I have so many friends.” The teaser concludes with Elphaba declaring, “I’m off to see the wizard,” as she magically summons her broom and takes flight.
