Developed by Eurocom and remastered by THQ Nordic, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is a third-person action-adventure game combining elements of puzzle-solving and platforming. Set in the enigmatic world of Ancient Egypt, the narrative follows the heroic journey of the Sphinx and Tutankhamun as they confront the god Set and navigate a myriad of challenges. After its initial 2003 launch, the game made its way to Steam in 2017 and subsequently to the Switch in 2019. Now, over seven years after its PC debut, it finds a new home on the PS4, with an Xbox version slated for release soon.

In a noteworthy surprise for fans, THQ Nordic launched Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy on PS4 on April 1, allowing modern players to experience this classic for just $14.99 via the PS Store. Following the PS4 release, the Xbox One version is set to arrive on April 15. In conjunction with the game’s release, THQ Nordic also unveiled a trailer showcasing the two protagonists battling various adversaries and solving intriguing environmental puzzles. Interestingly, this trailer resembles the one previously unveiled for the game’s Switch release over five years ago.
