Assassin’s Creed Shadows offers players an expansive world filled with hidden treasures, including a legendary chest located within the Koromodako Cave. This cave, however, is not easily found, as its location is not detailed in the game even after completing the necessary quests. In this guide, we will help you locate the cave and uncover its secrets.
Locating the Koromodako Cave in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The Koromodako Cave is situated in the Shattered Coast region of the Wakasa Province. To access the cave, players need to set sail from any of the nearby harbors, heading west towards the central area of Shattered Coast. While swimming to the cave is an option, it’s a time-consuming endeavor.
Upon arriving at the marked location, players will encounter an NPC playing a biwa near the cave entrance. He will convey that he has been waiting for either Naoe or Yasuke, instructed by his master, before he can leave.
As you venture into the cave, you’ll need to dive underwater and swim until you reach the other side. Inside, look for a golden chest positioned atop a large rock. When opened, this chest reveals the Fujin’s Tempest legendary amulet, specifically designed for Yasuke. This powerful amulet enhances damage output by +10% for every province where your notoriety has increased, making it especially potent for players who thrive on chaotic gameplay.
Resolving Blocked Entrances to Koromodako Cave

Should you reach Koromodako Cave only to find the entrance obstructed by a boulder, this blockage indicates that you’ve yet to complete certain quests. Specifically, you will need to fulfill the following objectives:
- Defeat all targets associated with the Pirate Alliance.
- Eliminate Takeda Motoaki, known as “The Performer”(Shinbakufu).
- Finish the Oni-Yuri questline and recruit her as an ally.
Once all these quest requirements are addressed, access to Koromodako Cave will be granted. The Pirate Alliance mission is interconnected with the second and third quests, so their completion is essential. After completing the quests, players must visit Shindo, the Biwa Master, to receive a cryptic piece of poetry from Takeda Motoaki, titled “Void.”
