Junjiro wishes to create a special soup for his master Sorin, incorporating ingredients that hold significant meaning. To achieve this, he entrusts Naoe with the task of sourcing these essential ingredients from a local vendor.
Initiating the Soup for Sorin Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To unlock the “Soup for Sorin”quest, players first need to complete the preceding Junjiro mission titled “A Different Kind of Samurai“alongside Yasuke. Upon completion, adventurers will notice a “Soup for Sorin”quest marker located in the Kii province.
Despite the lengthy journey required to reach the Kii province—an area designated as level 35 and inhabited by formidable foes—players should ideally ensure they have reached at least level 30 before proceeding. Once adequately prepared, head to Yuasa, a picturesque village situated along the Sazae Oni Shores, to meet up with Junjiro.
During the encounter, Junjiro expresses his intention to gather ingredients for a meaningful soup for Sorin. While he already possesses most of what he needs, he requests that Naoe find one final ingredient that would enrich the soup’s significance. Players will discover that Junjiro refers to a brown ingredient reminiscent of a dirt path, while Naoe suggests incorporating something from the sea to symbolize shifting tides.
Equipped with this information, players are ready to search for Shoyu and the special ingredient for Sorin’s soup.
Locating the Vendor in Yuasa for Soup Ingredients
For the next phase of this quest, players must acquire ingredients from a merchant in Yuasa. However, despite using Naoe’s Eagle Vision ability to scan the village, locating a vendor can be challenging. To find the right merchant, players should head northwest within Yuasa. There, at the end of the path, players will discover an ornament vendor who stocks various ingredients necessary for the soup.
Players need to purchase one Shoyu and one Konbu from this merchant. After acquiring the ingredients, return to Junjiro to complete the “Soup for Sorin”quest. Successfully finishing this quest rewards players with the Hay Supply outdoor cosmetic for their Hideout, adding a unique aesthetic touch.
