In a sneak peek of the finale provided by ScreenRant, viewers witness a pivotal moment where Rosie confides in Hina about her desire to ask Kai to move in with her. Rosie expresses her fears of rejection, while Hina, despite her own feelings for Kai, encourages her friend to take the leap and ask him. However, Hina soon leaves the scene, highlighting her own unresolved emotions.

Earlier in Rescue: HI-Surf season 1, episode 18, titled “Flowback,” Hina admitted her feelings to Kai. Unfortunately, his reaction was not as enthusiastic as she had hoped. Although Kai had strong feelings for Hina when they first met, he has since moved on, and by the end of the episode, he tells her that she has missed her chance, as he is now dating Rosie. Given Hina’s evident discomfort in the clip, it seems likely that the series will revisit her emotional turmoil before the season wraps up.
