LGD Gaming from China Secures Spot in PMGO 2025 Main Event

LGD Gaming, the prominent esports team hailing from China, has successfully secured their position in the upcoming PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2025 Main Event, slated for April 12 and 13, 2025. After five weeks of intense competition during the PEL 2025 Spring Regular Season, LGD Gaming emerged at the pinnacle of the standings with an impressive total of 710 points, clinching their spot by triumphing in the fifth weekly finals.

The PMGO 2025 Main Event will showcase a total of 16 competitive teams. This lineup includes seven teams that will qualify through the Prelims Stage, one team from the Uzbekistan Finals, and four teams that received invitations based on their performance in the PMGC 2024. The remaining four slots are filled by teams that excelled in regional events, demonstrating the global appeal and competitive spirit of PUBG Mobile esports.

ThunderTalk Gaming secured the second position in the PEL Regular Season’s standings with a total of 689 points. Despite an impressive start over the first three weeks, they faltered slightly in the subsequent weeks, resulting in their failure to qualify for the PMGO 2025 Main Event.

Weibo Gaming, well-recognized in the esports community, finished third with 652 points, while Rogue Warriors followed closely in fourth with 556 points. Tong Jia Bao Esports rounded out the top five with 545 points. Meanwhile, JD Gaming, featuring the celebrated player Paraboy, claimed the sixth spot with 513 points, having previously won the Week 4 Finals but ultimately missing out on the PMGO.

Tianba, who secured seventh place with 449 points, managed a strong recovery after missing the Week 3 Finals. The rankings continued with The Chosen in ninth and Titan Esports Club in tenth

Notably, well-known teams such as RSG and Four Angry Men have experienced a subpar season thus far. Similarly, the famed Nova Esports found themselves in 15th place after Week 5. The team’s early-season struggles included failing to perform in the opening weeks, leading to a disappointing 12th place finish in the previous PMGO 2024.
