Initially, it may appear that pets are a prominent feature in Inzoi, particularly with the wide variety of pet-themed items available in Build Mode. However, the reality is that players cannot adopt pets within the game as of now. While accessories such as cat wheels, scratching posts, and other animal-themed decorations are present, there is no functioning mechanic for pet adoption comparable to what you would find in games like The Sims. Instead, it seems these elements might merely suggest potential future enhancements.
Despite the absence of a pet adoption feature, there is an exciting alternative to fill your city with animals and create a vibrant atmosphere.
Introducing Animals through City Editor
While pets cannot be owned in Inzoi, you can enhance your urban environment by adding various animals using the City Editor. This tool allows you to populate parks, streets, and other public spaces with delightful wildlife.
To get started, access the Edit City menu located in the bottom-right corner of your screen, or simply hit the M key on your keyboard. Navigate to the City Appearance tab and select the Animals option. You can choose up to three different species from the following list:
- Cats
- Dogs
- Deer
- Pandas
- Crocodiles
- Raccoons
- Squirrels
- Foxes
After selecting your preferred species, adjust their population density to determine how many animals will roam your city—higher density equals more animals. Once you complete your selections and exit the menu, your city will gradually start to feature these wildlife additions.
Finding Animals in Inzoi
The animals you add will typically manifest in parks and open areas of your city. Although they do not interact with your Zoi character, their presence enriches the environment, providing a sense of life and activity. For now, this represents the closest experience to having pets in Inzoi.
Current Interaction Limitations
As it stands, animals in Inzoi serve purely as decorative elements. Players cannot pet, adopt, or otherwise engage with these creatures. The most interaction you can achieve is using them as engaging backdrop elements for in-game photography.
Future Potential for Pets
While there is no definitive confirmation about future pet interactions, the presence of pet-themed items suggests that Inzoi Studio may be considering the possibility of introducing pets in upcoming updates. Until such features are implemented, the primary method to enjoy animals within your world remains through the City Editor, allowing them to roam freely without direct player engagement.
