The recent conclusion of The Bachelor Season 29 saw contestant Grant Ellis propose to Juliana Pasquarosa, marking the start of their journey together off-screen. In an exclusive discussion with Us Weekly on March 29, 2025, the couple elaborated on their ambitions for the future, including Grant’s anticipated relocation to Juliana’s beloved hometown of Boston.
Grant and Juliana’s Life After the Show
Speaking about the significant move, Grant expressed the emotional importance of prioritizing Juliana’s happiness and family ties:
“With Jules, her family is her lifeline. That’s what makes her her. So to be like, ‘Oh, let’s go here, go here.’ No, we are gonna [go] where it makes her happy and I’m going to adjust because I just want to see her happy,” he said.
Juliana emphasized the value she places on family connections, stating that Grant comprehended this critical aspect of her life from the start. Although they plan to visit his family in Houston and New Jersey, they believe establishing their home base where she feels most at ease is paramount.
A Thoughtful Approach to Engagement
Rather than rushing into marriage, the couple intends to take their time living together and integrating their lives before solidifying a wedding date.
“We have to do some normal things where it feels exciting to plan that,” Juliana articulated. “I don’t wanna just try and keep it going — I really want to plateau a bit and just live normally for a minute,” she explained.
The Boston Move: A Mutual Decision
In their interview, Juliana noted that convincing Grant to consider moving to Boston was quite easy:
“He knew that I am very close with my family and that it would be hard for me to move away from them,” she explained.
Regarding her commitment to family, Juliana made it clear they still plan to travel while finding their footing in Boston. She described the transition as “pretty easy and straightforward.”
Shared Interests and Special Moments
The couple discovered their passion for music while on the show, further deepening their bond. They often enjoyed “happy couple”weekends that featured musical activities:
“People should be expressive however you want. Some people paint, some people drive cars — you just gotta do what you want to do,” Grant shared.
Juliana echoed the sentiment, saying:
“Music is a big thing in my life and it’s a big thing in your life. We played [his song] ‘Party Girls’ a couple times, but then we just went back to our regular everyday music.”
Reflecting on Tough Decisions
Grant also discussed his emotional journey in concluding his relationship with runner-up Litia Garr. He acknowledged the complexity of his feelings, having developed a connection with Juliana that made the decision challenging.
“It’s just working up the courage and strength to have to make a decision after you’ve built such a strong relationship with somebody,” he said, reflecting on the difficulties he faced during the hometown visits.
The season finale has left a significant impact, and viewers can continue to follow their journey, as all episodes of The Bachelor Season 29 are now available for streaming on ABC.
