In the latest chapter of Genshin Impact, players’ journeys with the little Saurian companion come to a thrilling conclusion at the Ancient Sacred Mountain. Accomplishing the Frozen, Rekindling Land Quest and subsequent missions will unlock a vast new map beneath the volcano in Atocpan, revealing remnants of an ancient dragon civilization.
The area boasts intricate elevations and hidden treasures, including numerous Pyroculus, enriching the exploration experience for players.
Location 1
To begin, teleport to the Sea of Shifting Sentience northeast waypoint. Proceed forward towards the Qucusaur, embrace the Saurian, and utilize the Gaseous Phlogiston to soar northeast, where you will find the Pyroculus nestled among circular rocks.
Location 2
Next, move to the waypoint south of the Sea of Shifting Sentience. Jump down northwest to discover a Pyroculus resting on a hot spring.
Location 3
Return to the previous waypoint and glide east to find the Pyroculus hovering above a Phlogiston pool.
Location 4
Next, access the Flame-Melding Ritual Grounds far south waypoint. Become a Tatankasaurus (or utilize Iansan and Varesa’s skill) to charge through the Pulverite hidden within a rock to unveil the Pyroculus.
Location 5
Utilizing the waypoint located at the center of the Flame-Melding Ritual Grounds, leap off to the north. Glide back south to collect the Pyroculus positioned atop a nearby hill.
Location 6
Return to the previous waypoint and travel east to discover a glowing block on the ground. Execute a basic attack to shatter it, exposing a space filled with Pulverite. Transform into a Tatankasaurus to destroy them all and find a pathway leading down. Retrieve the treasure chest atop the dragon, and remain there to be lifted to the mountain’s peak, where another Pyroculus awaits. Alternately, players can scale the mountain directly, though it may require more time.
Location 7
Teleport to the waypoint situated in the middle of the Flame-Melding Ritual Grounds and proceed northeast to locate a Pyroculus adorning a plant.
Location 8
Head to the Flame-Melding Ritual Grounds north waypoint. Before ascending the mountain, engage a Tatankasaurus, destroy the Pulverite, and shatter the cracked rocks at the edge to activate a puzzle for treasure. After collecting the chest, the platform beneath you will rise, elevating you to a higher level of the area where you can dismantle another rock to uncover the Pyroculus within.
Location 9
Teleport to the Heart of Force Inversion teleport waypoint and glide southeast toward the Phlogiston waterfall. You’ll notice a Pyroculus amid the cascading water, previously encountered during the In Search of a Hidden Heart quest. Make sure this quest is completed to unlock access to the Dragons’ Residence at the Ancient Sacred Mountain.
Location 10
Return to the prior waypoint and navigate southwest to ascend the hardened Phlogiston where another Pyroculus awaits.
Location 11
Proceed to the Chamber of Deliberation. Advance towards the end of the chamber and ascend the pillar to the southwest. Spot a hole in the wall halfway up and follow it into another chamber where a Pyroculus is located behind a Pulverite blockade.
Location 12
From the Esoteric Arrays north waypoint, you will see a Pyroculus right ahead. If needed, utilize the Geo Traveler’s skill for a boost to reach it.
Location 13
Glide north to the end of the bridge, then turn southwest to find an opening in the wall. Enter to reach a door that opens, granting access to yet another Pyroculus.
Location 14
Exit the hidden room towards the northeast and assist the Secret Source Servants in purging the Abyssal corruption to activate the Secret Source Dragon’s assembly. Follow them to the Dragon Idol to witness a Pyroculus resting on its head.
Location 15
Remain atop the Secret Source Dragon Idol until it activates and leads you towards the next Pyroculus.
Location 16
Teleported to the Heart of Force Inversion northeast waypoint, break the surrounding Pulverite on the southwest corner to discover a hidden Pyroculus.
Location 17
Reach the Ruined Armament Workshop southwest waypoint and spot a Pyroculus right in front of you. If you cannot access it by jumping, employ a climbable Geo construct or the special jump abilities of Citlali or Ororon.
Location 18
Next, use the waypoint southeast of the Ruined Armament Workshop and head east to find the next Pyroculus.
Location 19
From your last location, proceed to the ground tear south that leads into the Heart of the Sacred Mountain. Continue downward until you spot the Pyroculus.
Location 20
Return to the waypoint southeast of the Ruined Armament Workshop and navigate north to collect the Pyroculus perched on the Pulverite.
Location 21
Teleport to the Pseudostar Pedestal north waypoint and solve the nearby puzzle to assist the Secret Source Servant in assembling the pieces of the Secret Source Dragon Idol. After activation, stay on the dragon to advance to the next Pyroculus. This requires defeating enemies and breaking associated Pulverites.
Location 22
Warp to the Pseudostar Pedestal south waypoint and look eastward to find a Secret Source Dragon piece on the mountain’s edge. Stand atop it momentarily; another piece will emerge, allowing you to climb further. Rinse and repeat until you reach the final block leading to the upper level. Once there, proceed eastward to encounter a multitude of Hilichurls, along with a movable platform. Become a Tatankasaurus and relocate the platform from the left to unveil a crack in the wall that conceals a Pyroculus.
Upon gathering all the Pyroculus scattered throughout version 5.5 in Atocpan and the Ancient Sacred Mountain, players will accumulate a total of 60 Pyroculus. Offering the entirety to the Statue of the Seven in Genshin Impact’s Natlan will result in reaching Level 8, with Pyroculus count at 30/38.
