Marvel Rivals has acknowledged a significant issue regarding high RAM usage, particularly for players on the PC platform. While the game has achieved considerable popularity across gaming consoles and PCs since its launch in December 2024, users have reported various performance-related problems. To ensure an optimal and balanced experience for all players, NetEase has committed to regular updates designed to address bugs and enhance game balance.
In response to recurring player feedback, the March 6 update for Marvel Rivals resolved several terrain issues causing players to become stuck in awkward positions on the maps. Following this, the March 13 patch addressed further complications, including character-specific bugs and high sensitivity issues stemming from elevated frame rates, which triggered odd in-game behaviors. Nevertheless, despite these ongoing improvements, high RAM usage remains a persistent challenge for PC users. Fortunately, some promising developments have emerged from the Marvel Rivals team.
Lead Technical Designer Weikang Ruan recently indicated that the team is actively addressing the memory leak concerns affecting the PC version. During an interview with PC Gamer at GDC 2025, Ruan mentioned that upcoming updates could introduce a new checkbox in the game launcher. This feature is intended to help players “significantly reduce memory consumption.” The challenges with RAM usage have been particularly detrimental for systems with less than 32 GB, prompting the community to explore temporary fixes, though a permanent solution is still needed.
Exciting Updates in Marvel Rivals Season 2

Among the enhancements promised are new team-up abilities and adjustments to existing ones, although specific details have yet to be released. Additionally, the character roster is rumored to expand to include fan favorites like Blade and Emma Frost.
