Forgotten Temple Walkthrough (Soulstone Locations)
Begin your adventure by heading straight and engaging with the Corner Leading to the Abandoned Plains (Blade Nexus). Upon reaching a fork in the path, you can venture to the right to tackle a few enemies while collecting the Vitality Tome. After that, return to the fork and take the left path, remaining vigilant for the undead archer lurking above.
Soulstone #1 in Forgotten Temple
Continue down this path, engaging any undead foes in your way, and pause at another fork. The path to the right leads directly to the temple’s entrance, but first, destroy the wooden barricades on the left to uncover your first Soulstone. Once you’ve secured it, return and take the right path to interact with the door, unlocking the Forgotten Temple Entrance (Blade Nexus).
Ascend the stairs where you will make your initial encounter with the Dragonkin in The First Berserker: Khazan. Engage these foes who are revering the remains of another Dragonkin.
Soulstone #2 in Forgotten Temple
Take the time to explore the area before heading up the stairs; move to the right to confront two additional enemies. In the far corner, you should be able to discover the second Soulstone. Afterwards, proceed up the stairs and on your right, you will find an open gate leading to the Bard, a merchant offering various potions.
Among his wares is the Primeval Regression Orb priced at 10,000 Gold, which allows you to reallocate your character’s stats, making it possible to use the Lacrima again.
After you’ve completed your shopping, navigate left to a small pathway that conceals the Netherworld Energy Upgrade for you to acquire. Drop down once more, return to the stairs, and ascend another set of steps. Be prepared to face several archers and a Lunatic Destroyer. You’ll soon arrive at a boss gate, which currently remains locked. Instead, pivot left and then quickly right to discover two archers by a lever that will open one side of the gate. Continue along the main passage to board an elevator for an extended ride.
Interact with the Beneath the Forgotten Temple (Blade Nexus) and engage Daphrona. You will have dialogue options that allow you to release the Soulstones, providing either a Health Recovery boost or an increase in Lacrima, depending on your preference. After concluding your conversation with Daphrona, retrace your steps to the main corridor where a Double-Edge Butcher awaits. Defeat this foe, then ascend the stairs on your left to find interactable statues.
How to Stop the Forgotten Temple’s Spinning Mechanism In The First Berserker: Khazan
Confront the dragonkin and adjust the statues by ensuring they face the same direction as the others in line. This action will elevate the platform, allowing you to descend, climb the ladder, and interact with machines to cease the first section of the spinning mechanism. Upon descending the ladder, move straight, then turn right to locate the Depths of the Forgotten Temple (Blade Nexus). If you possess sufficient Lacrima, enhance your stats and proceed up the stairs. Follow the main path, leading you to an area swarming with dragonkin. Engage and loot any items before venturing up another flight of stairs.
Here, brace yourself to face your first Elite Enemy, who poses a significantly higher challenge than any adversaries you have previously encountered.
Soulstone #3 in Forgotten Temple
Once the Elite Enemy is defeated, adjust the statues to align with the wall-mounted counterparts. This action will activate a platform and lower the wall statues, unveiling a Soulstone. Use your Javelin to destroy it, then turn left to interact with another machine, halting the second part of the spinning mechanism. Proceed down the stairs, take a right, then left to find stairs leading downward. You can bypass several undead enemies to reach a ladder at the end. Follow the primary route to the final machine, which will stop the last segment of the spinning device, effectively ceasing its operation altogether.
Next, step onto the elevator where you will confront a Revenant of Adversity. Defeating this foe yields the Lacrima of Circulation, which you can use to summon the Spirit of Advocacy to assist you in upcoming boss encounters. Ascend in the elevator and pull the lever to unlock the gate leading to the boss arena. Make sure to rest at the Heart of the Forgotten Temple (Blade Nexus) before engaging in the boss fight of Mission 3.
