Throughout your journey in the Chronicler of the Crumbling City questline, you have eradicated numerous Abyssal mudballs to cleanse the Ancient Sacred Mountain region. The objective in As the Burning Sun Sears Shadows is to defeat all Abyssal Oozes and liberate the Astral Assemblages.
Step 1: First Contaminated Astral Assemblage
As you enter the Heart of the Sacred Mountain, navigate towards the quest marker where you will encounter three Tenebrous Mimifloras. Defeat these foes to spawn three Abyssal mudballs at that location.
To obliterate these mudballs effectively, utilize a Collective of Plenty character like Varesa or Iansan. Alternatively, you can take on the form of a Tatankasaur and unleash a special charged attack to smash all three mudballs, thus purifying the Astral Assemblage.
Step 2: Second Contaminated Astral Assemblage
Next, move towards the area designated on your map. You will encounter additional Abyssal mudballs during your journey. Eventually, you will arrive at the head of a dormant Source Servant Dragon, which is surrounded by more mudballs.
While most of the mudballs are straightforward to destroy, one will move in a circular pattern, making it more challenging to hit. Wait until it descends before striking it with the Tatankasaur’s special charged attack. After you’ve taken out all the mudballs, new ones will spawn in the sky.
To eliminate the airborne threats, interact with the cannon located on the Source Servant Dragon’s head and shoot down the remaining mudballs, thereby clearing the contamination from this second Astral Assemblage.
Step 3: Third Contaminated Astral Assemblage
Proceed to the final Astral Assemblage. Once you arrive, you’ll discover a maze housing an Abyssal mudball at its center, protected by two Tenebrous Mimifloras. Defeat these foes, then proceed to destroy the mudball.
Shortly thereafter, a new wave of Abyssal mudballs will appear. In this ultimate phase, you’ll need to pursue two mudballs as they attempt to escape. Their path will guide you to the final Astral Assemblage, which is located near the teleport point within the Heart of the Sacred Mountain.
