The Mushroom Swiss Burger debuted in 2018 and quickly won over customers’ hearts, only to be discontinued in 2022. Now, fans can rejoice as this flavorful burger returns to the menu next month. According to Whataburger’s website, the Mushroom Swiss Burger is crafted with two juicy grilled beef patties, topped with rich Swiss cheese, savory au jus sauce, and sautéed mushrooms, all nestled within a toasted bun.
Debbie Stroud, the President and CEO of Whataburger, expressed her enthusiasm about this relaunch in a recent press release:

This year marks our 75th anniversary, and we wanted to give our customers something they’ve been asking for. The demand for the Mushroom Swiss Burger has been monumental, highlighted by a petition that garnered over 7,200 signatures from fans advocating for its return.

Mark your calendars—the Mushroom Swiss Burger will be available from April 1 until June 2, 2025. Customers can conveniently order it online for delivery or pickup or enjoy it at any Whataburger location.
Celebrating 75 Years with More Menu Favorites

Earlier in the year, Stroud remarked:
