The release of the new trailer for Pokemon Legends Z-A has sparked enthusiasm among fans eager to see iconic Pokemon reappear in the game. With several Mega Evolutions returning for the first time since the Let’s Go titles from Gen VII, expectations were high. However, certain beloved creatures were conspicuously absent from this latest promotional content.
Despite a lack of new Mega Evolutions, which disappointed many fans, the trailer’s omissions keep hope alive for potential surprises in the game. Therefore, while some fan-favorites were not highlighted, their absence does not necessarily indicate they won’t feature in Pokemon Legends Z-A.
5 Anticipated Pokemon Not Featured in the Latest Trailer
1. Pre-existing Mega Evolutions

The excitement surrounding Mega Evolutions in Pokemon Legends Z-A has been a pivotal marketing aspect for the game. Although popular Megas like Charizard, Gyarados, and Lucario were confirmed, a total of 26 others capable of Mega Evolution remain unannounced.
Missing from the trailer are several notable Pokemon, including the other Kanto starters, all three Hoenn starters, and legendary figures such as Mewtwo in both forms, Rayquaza, and Diancie. The absence of Mega Diancie is particularly striking as it is the only Generation VI Pokemon confirmed to undergo Mega Evolution.
2. Flygon

Flygon, a popular Dragon-type from Generation III, is another creature not confirmed to appear in the latest trailer for Pokemon Legends Z-A. Initially slated to receive a Mega Evolution in Generation VI, it was ultimately left out due to design difficulties, making it the only Gen III Dragon-type without one.
The latest trailer’s lack of Flygon may discourage fans who had anticipated seeing it thrive in its Mega form.
3. Milotic

Another fan-favorite not present in the new trailer is Milotic. In a similar vein to Flygon, this elegant Pokemon was denied a Mega Evolution in Generation VI due to inadequate design.
Many fans hope for Milotic’s inclusion, particularly in a game set in Lumiose City, which draws inspiration from one of the world’s most aesthetically pleasing cities—Paris.
4. Volcanion

Volcanion, a mythic representation from the Kalos region, has yet to make its presence felt in the promotional material for Pokemon Legends Z-A. Known for its distinctive Fire/Water typing and the notable move Steam Eruption, Volcanion remains a unique character longing for acknowledgment.
While there are no official announcements regarding Volcanion, previous titles, including Pokemon Legends Arceus, featured Mythicals in special quests, leading fans to speculate about its possible inclusion.
5. Xerneas and Yveltal

The glaring absence of Xerneas and Yveltal, the box art legendaries from Generation VI, has left fans in a state of confusion. In Pokemon Legends Arceus, both Dialga and Palkia were integral to the storyline, while Giratina featured prominently as a postgame boss battle.
Current indications suggest that Zygarde will play a more significant narrative role this time, possibly relegating Xerneas and Yveltal to a postgame storyline.
