TWICE’s Minsa Reveals Heartfelt Moments in Preparation for MISAMO Activities

On March 27, 2025, TWICE member Mina made a notable appearance on Hyoyeon’s YouTube series, Hyoyeon’s Level Up, alongside fellow group members Sana and Momo. During this episode, the trio delved into the nuances of their personalities, highlighting both their shared traits and distinctive qualities while also reflecting on the challenges they faced as they geared up for MISAMO’s debut promotions.

Mina opened up about a particularly emotional experience related to MISAMO’s initial activities, emphasizing the immense pressure surrounding their preparations. She recounted that during the lead-up to their first album, they had a showcase to prepare for while simultaneously being on a global tour. The limited timeframe forced them to rapidly learn the choreography.

However, just when they thought they had the routine down, the production team made last-minute changes to the dance steps, adding to Mina’s stress. She confessed that this unexpected alteration led her to tears, as she struggled to adapt to the new choreography on such short notice.

Sana Reflects on Mina’s Perfectionism

In a candid moment, Sana revealed that Mina typically stands out for her flawless execution of choreography. She humorously expressed the weight of expectations, noting:

“She’s someone who usually doesn’t make mistakes. When she suddenly made a mistake, it felt like the world was collapsing. If she makes a mistake, what am I supposed to do? Mina was correct, but the two of us did something else, so it seemed like Mina made a mistake too.”

Mina explained that the typical preparation time for their performances is condensed into a single day. When any of the members struggle to execute the dance moves effectively, frustration can set in quickly. Sana then offered insights into the pros and cons of being part of a full group versus a sub-unit, stating:

“When performing as a whole group, as you know, the waiting time is really long. That’s really tough, but on the other hand, you can take your time eating. When performing as a unit, there’s no time to rest. Sometimes, you have to go on stage without even having time to eat.”

For those unfamiliar with MISAMO, it marks TWICE’s first sub-unit. The group made their official debut on July 26, 2023, with the mini-album Masterpiece, released under JYP Entertainment and Warner Music Japan. This album features an array of seven tracks, including “Do Not Touch,””Behind The Curtain,””Marshmallow,””Funny Valentine,””It’s Not Easy For You,””Rewind You,”and “Bouquet.”
