The highly anticipated Destiny 2 Heresy Act III is set to launch in just a few days, bringing with it the final chapter of the Light vs. Darkness saga. This concluding act is expected to effectively bridge the gap until the next major expansion, promising players a fresh and engaging experience. To enhance gameplay dynamics, a shift in the meta is on the horizon, with a primary focus on Artifact perks. These perks serve as a crucial factor driving builds and strategies throughout each season.
Act III will introduce five new artifact perks to enrich the existing lineup from Episode Heresy. Although some of these perks were previously hinted at as part of Act II, they have now been officially confirmed through announcements from the development team.
New Artifact Perks in Destiny 2 Heresy Act III
Below is a comprehensive list of all the newly confirmed Artifact perks that players can expect in Heresy Act III:
- Unstoppable Rocket Launcher: Each rocket launcher you equip will launch powerful explosive rounds capable of stunning unshielded foes, proving particularly effective against Unstoppable Champions. When the appropriate modifier is active, Rocket Launchers will be permanently overcharged.
- Gold from Lead: Collecting Special ammo offers a chance of converting it into Heavy ammo, enhancing your firepower.
- Vile Weave: Targets affected by your Tangles become severed, with cooldown reduction available through picking them up.
- To Shreds: Continuously damaging Severed targets will cause them to Unravel. Defeating such targets creates a hotspot of Strand energy that provides nearby allies with Woven Mail for a limited time.
- Boost: Unraveling projectiles will not only inflict increased damage but will also deal even greater damage to Severed enemies.
- Perpetual Destruction: Quick takedowns with non-Exotic Rocket Launchers will refund ammunition and temporarily increase reload speed.
Each act in the game tends to cater to a unique aspect of gameplay. The first Act centered on the Arc element, while the second introduced players to the Trace Rifle weapon type. With the introduction of the five new perks, it appears that gamers will now be able to further optimize their Strand builds, particularly enhancing their interactions with Rocket Launchers.
As with previous acts, unlocking these new perks will require spending 12 perk-unlocking keys. Notably, there will be no additional unlocks introduced alongside the new perks in Heresy Act III.
