Your adventure begins with a missing cat named Aisha. After accepting the quest, make your way to the Administrative District. Near a green tent outside the Hangar, you’ll encounter Conner, Nathan, and Monica. Engage with them to gather information regarding Aisha’s whereabouts. Next, head to the Industrial District to speak with Mathias. Once the cutscene concludes, proceed to Cliffside Beach, located east of FN Site 116.

Upon arrival, you’ll encounter a monster, which you must defeat to trigger another cutscene. Following that, navigate northwest towards Biahno Hills or take advantage of nearby landmarks for fast travel. In this region, collect blue crystals marked with an orange diamond, which is the catnip required to lure Aisha. After you gather the necessary amount of catnip, return to Cliffside Beach and report back to Mathias. Here, you will engage in yet another battle against a monster attracted to the trap intended for Aisha. To finalize the quest, return to New LA and talk to Mathias once more.

Completing the Nine Lives mission

Successfully completing the Nine Lives mission will enable you to keep pets at the BLADE Barracks. Note that only one pet can be active at a time. To switch pets, utilize the Customization Center terminal. After unlocking pets, you will have the opportunity to complete Basic Missions that introduce additional pets over time.

Your selected pet can be spotted relaxing in the BLADE Barracks, but they serve more than just an aesthetic purpose. There are various Affinity Missions that can only be initiated if you have an active pet. For instance, Lao’s initial Affinity Mission necessitates having a dog present, while Elma’s second mission requires a cat. Other than their functional role in these missions, pets do not provide additional gameplay advantages.
