In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, players embark on a quest to defeat Wada Koretake, the first target associated with the Shinbakufu/The Onryo. To locate Koretake, the character Naoe must first track down his chief executioner in Amagasaki. The Killing Field quest is relatively straightforward, but players will need to gather clues to uncover the executioner’s hidden location.
Locating the Executioner in the Killing Field Quest
Clues within the Killing Field quest indicate that the executioner is situated in the Nanatsumatsu region of Amagasaki. While reaching Amagasaki itself is straightforward, pinpointing the executioner can be challenging as this location does not appear on the map. Players are encouraged to explore undiscovered areas to the west of Amagasaki, which will gradually unveil itself.
As players approach the undiscovered location, they can employ Eagle Vision to detect the elusive executioner and thereby advance the quest.
Vanquishing Shindo Hiroshii the Executioner & Recovering the Letter
Upon entering Nanatsumatsu, players will discover preparations for a public execution of innocent civilians orchestrated by Wada Koretake’s chief executioner. The area is heavily guarded, posing additional risks to players.
The optimal strategy is to approach this area stealthily, eliminating surrounding threats one by one. Utilizing the trenches nearby will allow players to sneak around undetected while clearing out the guards.
Once all nearby enemies have been dispatched, it is advisable to creep up on the executioner for an assassination attempt. This stealthy approach will not completely eliminate him but will significantly reduce his health, making the direct confrontation much more manageable.
After defeating the executioner, Naoe will uncover a letter on his body addressed by Wada Koretake, revealing his whereabouts. Successfully completing this task concludes the Killing Field quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
