Leva Bonaparte recently announced her decision to step back from her role in Southern Charm following the conclusion of its tenth season. While she will no longer be a central character on the hit reality series, Leva emphasized that this isn’t a complete exit from reality television. She took to Instagram on March 26, 2025, to share her sentiments with her followers.
“So this isn’t TV goodbye! Just maybe a you’ll see me a little less! 🫶🏽❤️ love yall!”
Bonaparte’s departure comes after a season in which her on-screen appearances were noticeably infrequent. Nonetheless, she continues her active involvement in the Bravo universe through her spinoff, Southern Hospitality, which focuses on her restaurant, Republic Garden & Lounge.
Leva’s Reasons for Transitioning Away from Southern Charm
In her Instagram statement, Leva elaborated on her choice to leave Southern Charm. She expressed a strong desire to devote more time to her personal life and business pursuits.
“I am in a place now in my life where I want to have time to focus on Boys and my Joys,” she disclosed.
Married to Lamar Bonaparte with a son, Lamar Jr., she felt it was time for a personal reset. Leva noted that her participation this past season was reduced compared to previous years, which prompted her to shift her focus toward her other endeavors.
Despite her withdrawal from the main cast, Bonaparte reaffirmed her ongoing support for her friends on the show, stating,
“I love my friends on Charm [and] wish them the best and I’ll show up when they need me.”
Ongoing Commitment to Southern Hospitality
While Leva Bonaparte may be stepping back from Southern Charm, she made it clear that Southern Hospitality remains a top priority for her. This Bravo spinoff, which highlights the dynamics of her restaurant staff in Charleston, has gained traction and has been well received. Leva remarked,
“Where you will see me is on Southern Hospitality in full force where I can focus my energy on the business and the show that has really found its footing this year thanks to the fans, the bravo bloggers and the GOAT network @nbc @bravotv!”
Furthermore, both Leva and her husband, Lamar, serve as executive producers for the spinoff, which plays a significant role in their professional journey. Leva conveyed her enthusiasm for what lies ahead, saying,
“I’m working on some pretty cool stuff that I hope to share more of soon!”
Future Appearances on Southern Charm
Although Leva will no longer feature prominently on Southern Charm, she hinted at making occasional appearances in future episodes. She suggested that fans could spot her at events, saying,
“Maybe you’ll see me at a party or two throughout their new season!”
Her relationship with the cast remains positive, and she intends to offer her support as needed. Viewers can look forward to seeing her during the two-part season 10 reunion, scheduled for later this month and early April.
Leva’s announcement signifies a new chapter in her engagement with the franchise, yet it does not signify a full departure from the realm of reality television. Although her involvement may be reduced, she will continue to juggle personal and professional commitments.
“I’ll be stepping away from Southern Charm this year on great terms,”she remarked.
As Bonaparte transitions, her fans can eagerly anticipate more exposure in Southern Hospitality.
