“Worrying Signs” – Fans Express Concern as SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi’s Lips Appear Blue During Intense 96ers & CHEERS Performance

Health Concerns Arise for SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi During Live Performance

On March 24, 2025, the music community expressed significant concern for Hoshi, a member of the popular K-pop group SEVENTEEN, after noticing a troubling change in his appearance during a live performance at the group’s ninth fan meeting, SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND 2025. Fans quickly took to social media when they observed that Hoshi’s lips had shifted from their usual pink hue to a darker, almost blue shade.

Video clips from the event, held at the Incheon Munhak Main Stadium, surfaced online, leading to rampant speculation regarding the idol’s health and well-being. Observers recalled past incidents that raised similar alarms and voiced their worries about the impact of his demanding schedule on his physical state.

Concerns Over Hypoxia and Performance Stress

Fans speculated that the color change could be indicative of low oxygen levels, a condition known as hypoxia. Many recalled that this was not the first occurrence of such a health issue for Hoshi, especially following strenuous performances.

“This means he had low oxygen levels btw, and it’s not the first time it’s happened to him after a strenuous performance. i really hope he takes a break and sees a doctor bc this is very concerning,”an X user wrote.

During the event, Hoshi performed 20 of the 23 songs, showcasing both group and subunit performances. This demanding schedule required a significant amount of physical exertion, intensifying concerns among fans.

“I feel like something’s wrong with him. His lips look cyanotic, probably due to hypoxia. I’m sure they get regular medical check-ups, but I’m really worried about Hoshi rn,”a fan wrote.

“Damn he’s being hypoxic due to the lack of oxygen to his peripheral organ. A rigorous activity could cause this, the cold weather makes it worse because your body needs extra energy to warm up. I hope he got his heart and lung checked,”a fan commented.

“He has been so working hard for everything from cb, world tour, bss, howoo, caratInd and after that he will also prepare for next cb, oh hoshi pls take a lot of rests,”a netizen added.

“He seriously needs to take more breaks in between stages,”another person wrote.

Call for Artist Welfare from Fans

In light of the concerning incident, many fans urged Pledis Entertainment, the agency representing SEVENTEEN, to prioritize Hoshi’s health. They emphasized the need for vigilant monitoring and care for their artists, especially with forthcoming military enlistments looming on the horizon.

“I don’t want to think bad things but this isn’t the first time Hoshi’s lips have changed color after performing. So @pledis_17 please, do what you have to do for your artist especially since he’s going to be enlisting in just a few months,”a fan wrote.

“This is so worrying huhu hoshi I hope u can rest. I hope they give u time to rest,”another user commented.

“Is it because of the lack of oxygen? This is worrying. He shouldn’t have pushed himself like this,”an X user mentioned.

Upcoming Milestones and Military Enlistments

Amidst these concerns, SEVENTEEN continues to thrive in their musical endeavors, even as some members prepare for military enlistment. The SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND 2025 fan meeting took place on March 20 and 21, featuring a mix of both new and classic hits such as SOS, Rock With You, and Clap.

Out of the 13 members, only 12 participated, with Jeonghan absent due to his enlistment in September 2024. Recently, both Hoshi and Woozi revealed they have received their enlistment schedules, and they are expected to join the military in the latter half of the year.

Speaking to fans, Hoshi reassured them of their ability to celebrate SEVENTEEN’s 10th anniversary together before their enlistment. His heartfelt message resonated deeply, even moving leader S.Coups to tears during the announcement.

In related news, Wonwoo is set to enlist on April 3, opting to serve as a public service worker rather than in an active-duty role.
