GOT7’s NESTFEST Bangkok Concert: International Fans Frustrated by Two-Hour Advance Ticket Purchase for Thai Nationals

On Monday, March 24th, ticketing details for GOT7’s much-anticipated concert in Bangkok, Thailand, were unveiled as part of their NESTFEST tour. However, the announcement left many international fans feeling disappointed due to the ticket purchase guidelines.

The guidelines indicated that Thai nationals would be granted a two-hour head start in purchasing tickets on April 5. This provision has raised concerns among international fans who feel at a disadvantage, leading to frustration and anger within the fanbase. Many have voiced their displeasure, labeling the policy as “unfair”and indicative of a double standard.

Fan Reactions to the Ticketing Announcement

Here are some notable reactions from fans on X regarding the ticketing process:

“Hey, all fans waited for five years. Other cities, such as Hong Kong and Taipei, also had their concerts canceled; so why should international fans be penalized just because we are NOT BORN THAI??? It feels unfair!”

“Isn’t it unfair enough that the concert dates were announced on such short notice (just one month)? The costs for flights and hotels already make it more expensive for us. Why do Thai fans get even more advantages?”

“If they don’t conduct a world tour, these differing pre-sale schedules are really disadvantageous to international fans. I hope they apply a level playing field across all concert stops, considering that local fans often have access to better seats and VIP packages.”

“While we recognize that Thai fans support GOT7 immensely, it still seems unfair to international fans. We also want the opportunity for great seats and reasonable prices.”

Many fans, also known as ahgases, have articulated their disappointment concerning the disparities in ticket access for those eager to attend GOT7’s Bangkok concert.

“We understand the organizers want to prioritize locals, but a two-hour head-start seems excessive, especially when one person can buy up to four tickets. International fans deserve fair treatment too!”

“It’s disheartening; numerous international fans are excited about this concert, and this policy could diminish our chances of securing good tickets.”

“We’re all ahgases, regardless of where we come from. This just isn’t fair.”

“It’s really disappointing that they implement this kind of differentiation. We have all waited the same amount of time for this opportunity. Why can’t it simply be a general sale? We are prepared to spend just as much as local fans.”
