Insights from Tzarina Mace-Ralph on Below Deck Down Under Season 3
The third season of Below Deck Down Under officially premiered on February 3, 2025, welcoming viewers back to the high seas. This season features a mix of familiar faces and new crew members, including Captain Jason Chambers, chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph, and deckhand Harry Van Vliet.
Tzarina’s Enthusiasm for Reunion and Season Highlights
In a recent interview with Collider, published on March 20, Tzarina expressed her immense happiness to join Captain Jason and Harry on the yacht again. Describing her experience as “over the moon,”she conveyed a deep sense of appreciation for her co-stars and the vibrant atmosphere onboard.
“I just felt so lucky. Out of everyone that I could have worked with, I’m just so glad that I got to work for Jason. Obviously, who wouldn’t? And then I had my gorgeous little brother, Harry, back. So I was over the moon,”she said.
An Exciting Season Full of Surprises
Tzarina believes that season three is shaping up to be one of the most unforgettable in the franchise’s history. She hinted at exhilarating developments yet to come, stating that the events seen so far are merely the precursor to a thrilling season ahead.
During the interview, she also reflected on her journey into the culinary world. Tzarina disclosed that her path began after dropping out of school. At just fourteen, following her mother’s encouragement to embrace her potential, she enrolled in culinary school and pursued various training opportunities.
“I was actually doing hairdressing on the side. Not a hairdresser. Just worked my way up until six years ago. I got into the yachting world, which just completely changed my life,”Tzarina shared.
New Destinations: Seychelles in Season 3
This season of Below Deck Down Under features a captivating first-time destination: the Seychelles, located off the coast of Africa. Tzarina highlighted how fortunate her crew was to experience this location, noting it was a long-desired item on her bucket list. However, her responsibilities often kept her confined to the galley, limiting her time to explore the breathtaking surroundings.
“Unfortunately for me, I was locked in a metal galley without a window for 20 hours a day,”she reflected, although she appreciated the glimpses of beauty she did experience.
Favorite Pastimes: Family and Entertainment
When discussing her leisure activities, Tzarina emphasized the importance of family time. After taking a significant break from yachting, she expressed gratitude for the chance to reconnect with her relatives after nearly nine years apart.
“Go and see the grandparents, steal in all of my grandparents’ clothes, and get a new wardrobe from them. I love just being around people,”she said, also mentioning that she prefers activities that don’t center on drinking.
Tzarina also revealed that she has a passion for television, particularly crime documentaries, but her ultimate joy lies in attending drag queen performances. Her enthusiasm for these shows is unparalleled.
“I could be on my death bed, and my housemate would come out, being like, ‘Do you want to see drag queens tonight?’ and my leg would just come out of bed, coming crawling out. I’m gonna go see them! So, yeah, that’s my happy place,”she concluded.
