Commencing your adventure after a fierce battle at Seta Bridge, Aoi guides you to Shotei, a formerly skilled warrior now lost to alcoholism and unable to defend himself. Any attempts to reason with him fall flat as soldiers from the Akechi Clan appear at his door, seeking vengeance.

In a drunken stupor, Shotei collapses, leaving you to confront the attackers. Here, you face the choice of method: fight alongside Yasuke or Naoe. We highly recommend Yasuke for this encounter due to his resilience and damage potential. His samurai combat style is particularly adept at handling multiple foes, allowing for a quicker resolution than if you choose Naoe.

The Akechi soldiers present a challenge, particularly when they swarm together. Adopting a more defensive approach with Yasuke is advisable. They wield diverse weaponry, so patience and strategic combat will be key. Despite Yasuke’s imposing strength, the soldiers’ agility and numbers can be troublesome.

Maintain your distance and ensure your health by consuming rations as needed. Once you successfully defeat the soldiers, check on Shotei to gauge his condition.

You can engage with Shotei about his daughter, Katsuhime, who he believes could compensate for his shortcomings. She is located at Enryakuji Temple near the town of Sakomoto.

Follow the quest marker to reach Katsuhime’s last known whereabouts, where you’ll discover another set of attackers on her trail. Utilize Naoe’s shinobi skills to execute stealthy takedowns against the four enemies. Should you be discovered, you can engage them in direct combat using your katana.

After neutralizing the threats, Katsuhime will emerge, initially pointing her weapon at you. However, after a brief exchange, she will reconsider, concluding the main quest on a hopeful note. Completing this mission rewards you with 1000 XP and transitions you into the next adventure: Showdown in Sakomoto.
