Supercell has officially unveiled the patch notes for the Clash of Clans Clash Anytime update, which outlines significant updates and improvements for the popular mobile game. As previewed by various content creators, this upcoming release includes the removal of Troop Training Time, the introduction of a new Dark Elixir Troop, the addition of a new Town Hall level, and numerous quality-of-life enhancements.
In this article, we delve into the detailed changelog for the March 2025 Clash of Clans update.
Goodbye to Troop Training Time
According to the patch notes, the anticipated removal of Training Time for Troops, Spells, and Siege Machines is set to transform gameplay. Heroes will no longer have recovery times after battles, allowing for continuous deployment. Consequently, all Troop Training-related Magic Items, including Training Treats, Training Boosts, and Training Potions, will cease to exist. However, developers hinted that a new Gold Pass perk will replace Training Boost.
The removal of Training Time will initiate several changes, including:
- When a Shield is acquired, a clone of your base is sent into the matchmaking pool. This base is eliminated from the matchmaking process once defeated.
- Attackers can earn resources and Trophies from clone bases, while Defenders do not lose any Trophies or resources.
- Matchmaking will prioritize real player bases, using clone bases only when fewer opponents are available.
Introducing Army Recipes
The update also brings an exciting Army Training rework along with a revamped interface. The new Army Recipes feature, set to launch on March 27, 2025, will facilitate easier creation, editing, and sharing of army compositions.
New Troops, Hero Pets, and Equipment in Clash of Clans
Exciting additions await players, including a new Hero Pet, a Dark Elixir Troop, and a Common Hero Equipment. Meet Sneezy, an allergy-afflicted bat that provides damage protection by sneezing out ghastly boogers. Players can unlock Sneezy at Pet House Level 11, which corresponds to Town Hall 17.
Additionally, a Dark Elixir Troop called the Furnace will be introduced. This stationary troop emits Firemites, which target and burn enemy buildings as it takes damage. Players can unlock Furnace at Dark Barracks Level 12, associated with Town Hall 15.
Alongside these new units, the Noble Iron Dumbbell is a piece of Common Hero Equipment designed for the Minion Prince, enhancing the initial speed, power, and range of his projectiles. Players can acquire this equipment at Blacksmith Level 5, linked to Town Hall 12.

Due to the removal of Training Time, the mechanics surrounding Donation and Clan Perks are evolving.
