One Piece Confirms More Egghead Arc Episodes Featuring New Theme Songs

On March 22, 2025, excitement electrified One Piece fans as the beloved anime announced its highly anticipated return on April 6, 2025. This announcement was made during Anime Japan 2025’s Red Stage, where two new episodes will be released back-to-back. In addition, the theme song artists were revealed, and the details for One Piece Day 2025, scheduled for the first half of August 2025, were unveiled.

Based on the immensely popular manga created by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece stands as a monumental franchise within the anime world. With a staggering collection of 111 manga volumes and over 1000 episodes in its anime adaptation, the series continues to captivate audiences. It’s worth noting that there is a second anime adaptation in the works, along with a live-action series and a multitude of gaming adaptations.

The engaging panel for One Piece on the first day of Anime Japan 2025 began with a lively skit featuring the series’ voice actors. Notably, Mayumi Tanaka and Kappei Yamaguchi portrayed parents sharing the thrilling news about the show’s return to their children, voiced by Subaru Kimura and Kazuya Nakai.

Adding to the excitement, Zoro’s voice actor showcased the iconic Three-Sword-Style: Onigiri. The session continued with the premiere of a new promotional video highlighting Part 2 of the Egghead Arc, which started with a recap of the Straw Hat Pirates’ thrilling arrival at Egghead Island.

The promotional video also depicted Vegapunk asking the Straw Hat Pirates for help to escape Egghead Island. Following this, the scene shifted to a Marine ship where Admiral Kizaru confronted Saint Saturn, a member of the Five Elders. The video concluded dramatically with a monologue by Luffy, hinting at an approaching powerful presence on Egghead Island.

The anime’s return will feature the simultaneous release of episodes 1123 and 1124, eliminating the typical week-long wait between episodes. Following this double episode release, viewers can expect weekly installments starting with episode 1125. Fans can also look forward to two brand-new theme songs enhancing the show’s musical landscape.

The opening theme will be performed by GRe4N BOYZ, a four-member band known for their catchy tunes, including the ending theme of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Season 5. Meanwhile, the ending theme will mark the anime debut for the four-person pop band muque.

Furthermore, in a video shared on the official One Piece YouTube channel, it was announced that ‘One Piece Day 2025’ will be celebrated in early August 2025 at the Tokyo Big Sight, also known as the Tokyo International Exhibition Center. Fans can also look forward to a new collection of themed hand towels inspired by various devil fruits.
