NTC’s Jeno Makes a Splash as Samsung Lions’ First Pitch Thrower

On March 22, NCT’s Jeno took to the mound as the honorary first pitch thrower for the Samsung Lions Baseball Club. Originally set for the playoff showdown against the LG Twins on October 14, 2024, the event had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather. The baseball team then invited Jeno to kick off their regular season opening, and the idol eagerly accepted.

Wearing the Lions’ jersey emblazoned with “23”on the back, Jeno addressed the fans gathered at Daegu Samsung Lions Park, sharing his excitement for the event:

“Hello, this is Jeno. Nice to meet you. Thank you so much for inviting me to throw the first pitch today. I will cheer for the victory in the 2025 season-opening game. Go, Samsung Lions!”

Leading up to the throw, Jeno also expressed his nervousness on his Bubble account, stating:

“It’s been a while since I’ve been nervous lol, phew.”

The throw itself was a hit, and fans quickly took to social media to express their pride and admiration. The buzz online featured a variety of enthusiastic reactions:

Discovering NCT’s Jeno: His Journey and Accolades

Born Lee Je-no, Jeno is a versatile South Korean rapper, singer, and dancer who made his debut under SM Entertainment in 2016. Initially recognized as a child commercial model, he transitioned to the K-pop scene as a member of the boy group NCT, specifically as a key figure in NCT DREAM.

In addition to his activities with NCT DREAM, Jeno has ventured into solo work, featuring in songs such as Donghae’s “California Love”in 2021 and Key’s “Villain”in 2022. He made headlines in September 2022 by becoming the first K-pop artist to walk the runway for New York Fashion Week, showcasing Peter Do’s spring 2023 collection.

In 2023, Jeno was appointed as Ferragamo’s first global male brand ambassador and followed this up with a similar role for the Korean cosmetics brand, A’pieu, in 2025. Currently, he is actively involved with NCT DREAM, who are preparing for their second world tour, The Dream Show 3: Dream()scape, set to take place from May to December 2024.

As part of their recent milestones, NCT DREAM released their debut English single “Rains in Heaven”in August 2024 and are gearing up for their fourth full-length album, Dreamscape, which is slated for release in November 2024.
