Destiny 2’s Dreadnaught conceals numerous secrets, with the latest additions introduced in the Episode Heresy update. This new region not only provides a nostalgic experience for veteran players but also invites newcomers to explore the intricacies of the Taken King’s realm. One notable quest involves uncovering the Ravenous Thrall located within the Hall of Souls, a necessary step for completing the Barrow-Dyad Catalyst for the Exotic SMG.
Many Guardians have found themselves unable to advance with the Barrow-Dyad Exotic SMG’s second Catalyst due to two secret tasks that must be completed in the Dreadnaught. In this guide, we’ll walk you through one of these challenges effectively.
Completing the Ravenous Cursed Thrall Secret
Step 1: Initial Setup
First, launch any difficulty level of Destiny 2’s The Nether. Your goal is to locate the “Hall of Souls”starting area and make your way to the central platform where the typical encounter boss appears.
Once you’re on the central platform, look to your right to find a Ravenous Curse Thrall consuming worms on the ground. This marks the beginning of your quest.
Step 2: Draw the Thrall Inside
Fire at the Curse Thrall, enticing it to follow you into the adjacent room. Maintain visual contact, but be mindful of the Thrall’s explosive nature.
Stick close to the right wall and eliminate any enemies present within the area. After heading up the stairs, you’ll spot worms on the floor; lure the Thrall to this location and wait for it to consume the worms, resulting in its transformation into an Acolyte.
Step 3: Beyond the Room
Now that you have an Acolyte, shoot it to attract its attention. Lead it outside, toward the location where the Hall of Souls encounter initiates. Here, the Acolyte will find another set of worms and evolve into a Knight.
You will need to defeat this newly formed Knight to successfully complete the secret. Upon doing so, a notification will appear in the lower-left corner confirming your discovery of a “Dreadnaught secret.”
