Empathy is a vital stat, illustrated by a distinctive purple “hugging”icon. Its primary function is to enhance the efficacy of cooperative abilities used by players while also amplifying the damage output of Co-Strikes, which occur when multiple players attack a single target simultaneously.

Players can choose from various weapons, each unlocking a unique co-op skill triggered by holding the Left Shift key on a PC or LB/L1 on a game controller. These skills vary significantly, from debilitating enemies to fortifying allies. Here’s an overview of the available skills:

  • Bow (Arrow Volley): Launches a barrage of arrows over a vast area. Increased Empathy extends the length of this barrage.
  • Sword (Shield): Provides a protective shield to three players, capable of absorbing damage. The shield’s durability improves with higher Empathy levels.
  • Dual Dagger (Greedy Strike): Creates multiple Greedy Strikes. Increasing Empathy boosts the damage output from these strikes.
  • Staff (Slow): Envelops a substantial area in mist that hampers enemy movement. Enhanced Empathy prolongs the duration of this slowing effect.

To execute these skills, players first need to fill the co-op skill gauge located in the bottom left of the screen by defeating enemies. Once charged, users and their teammates must position themselves within the sigils that appear on the ground to activate their co-op skills. Be aware that while performing these actions, players might be vulnerable to enemy attacks, so timing is crucial.

Currently, 33 Immortals is in Early Access and can be played on PC and Xbox Series X|S, allowing players an opportunity to experience this innovative multiplayer adventure.
