Channing Tatum, Lindsay Lohan, and Ana de Armas to Receive Awards at Big Screen Achievement Awards Ceremony

CinemaCon Honors Film Stars at the Big Screen Achievement Awards

The excitement is building as CinemaCon gears up for its annual Big Screen Achievement Awards, set to take place on April 3 at the iconic Colosseum, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. This prestigious event will celebrate the remarkable contributions of several renowned figures from the film industry, including Channing Tatum, Lindsay Lohan, Ana de Armas, comedy legends Cheech & Chong, David Jonsson, Madeleine McGraw, and Ben Wang.

This year’s awards will feature several noteworthy accolades: Tatum will receive the Decade of Achievement in Film award, acknowledging his impressive career. Ana de Armas, fresh off her role in the highly anticipated film Ballerina, will be celebrated as the Action Star of the Year. Lohan is set to be honored with the Vanguard Award ahead of her upcoming film Freakier Friday, co-starring Jamie Lee Curtis. Additionally, Cheech & Chong will be awarded the Career Achievement in Comedy prize, while David Jonsson will take the Next Generation Award. Rising star Madeleine McGraw is recognized as the Rising Star of 2025, and Mean Girls actor Ben Wang will receive the title of Star of Tomorrow ahead of the release of Karate Kid: Legends.

In an earlier announcement, Glen Powell was recognized as the Star of the Year, further highlighting the impressive lineup of honorees. The Big Screen Achievement Awards, presented by CinemaCon’s official sponsor, The Coca-Cola Company, will be hosted by Kevin Frazier from Entertainment Tonight.

“The Big Screen Achievement Awards are exhibition’s way of saying thank you to the talented and creative people that make magic on movie screens all across the globe. They are essential to the wonder that is the moviegoing experience,” stated Mitch Neuhauser, managing director of CinemaCon. “This year’s honorees have entertained audiences worldwide, and we are excited to celebrate their accomplishments at this year’s Big Screen Achievement Awards.”

Spotlight on the Honorees

Channing Tatum continues to be a force in Hollywood. After appearing in Zoe Kravitz’s Blink Twice and making a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine, he is gearing up for his next role in Derek Cianfrance’s film Roofman, which hits theaters on October 3, 2025. His impressive career spans a variety of hit films including Magic Mike XXL, The Hateful Eight, and The Lost City.

Ana de Armas is set to play Eve Macarro in Ballerina, a spinoff of the John Wick series, which debuts in theaters on June 6, 2025. Her burgeoning career includes critically acclaimed performances in films such as Blonde and No Time to Die.

Lindsay Lohan makes her return in Disney’s Freakier Friday, scheduled for release on August 8, 2025. Her years of work in films like Mean Girls and A Prairie Home Companion have prepared her for this comeback, supported by successful Netflix projects in recent years.

Comedy duo Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong will return with Cheech & Chong’s Last Movie, premiering in limited engagements on April 20, with a wider release on April 25. Their enduring comedic partnership continues to capture the hearts of audiences.

David Jonsson is set to appear in the adaptation of Stephen King’s first-written novel, The Long Walk, along with several other exciting projects. Meanwhile, rising star Madeleine McGraw reprises her role in Universal’s Black Phone 2, which hits theaters on October 17, 2025.

Ben Wang, who has appeared in American Born Chinese and other notable films, will star in Karate Kid: Legends, releasing on May 30, alongside Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio.

Upcoming Highlights at CinemaCon

In yet another highlight, Glen Powell will receive a major honor during the ceremony, ahead of the release of Edgar Wright’s anticipated film, The Running Man, which opens in theaters, Dolby Cinema, and IMAX on November 7, 2025. He will also participate in a creative community luncheon with Wright, Josh Brolin, and Colman Domingo at the Octavius Ballroom during the event.

CinemaCon, an essential gathering for theatrical exhibition insiders, will take place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from March 31 to April 3, 2025. This year promises to be a celebration of cinematic excellence and the extraordinary talents shaping the future of film.
