Jacqui, a participant from Season 12 of Married at First Sight Australia, has recently shared her unsettling experiences while paired with Ryan. Through a series of impactful videos on TikTok, she unveils the challenges she faced during their brief union on the reality television show.
Confronting Disturbing Experiences with Ryan

In a video released three days ago, Jacqui responded to a fan’s question about the “most disturbing thing”she experienced during the show. She recounted a troubling incident from the second week when Ryan allegedly threatened and intimidated her when she joked about keeping his shoes on the bed. Jacqui revealed:
“He physically threatened me and intimidated me, and I ran out of the room, sh*t scared,”she said.
Jacqui mentioned that she refrained from elaborating on further details due to her fears of potential retaliation from Ryan, especially considering his behavior online. She indicated that multiple other “really scary”incidents occurred, and after their final vows, she felt so frightened that she contemplated involving the authorities.
“And what he’s doing now is really f*cked up as well,”she noted.
Understanding Gaslighting in Her Relationship
Reflecting on their relationship dynamics, Jacqui described Ryan’s actions as “gaslighting,”emphasizing that this was her first experience with such toxic behavior. Although initially unaware of the emotional manipulation she was enduring, she has since gained clarity about her previous partner’s conduct.
“Really toxic and gaslighting and stuff,”she remarked.
Conflict with Ryan’s Friends
Jacqui further shared her “Diary cam”footage on TikTok, documenting her feelings right after a confrontation with Ryan’s friends, which aired in a recent episode of the show. In this clip, she portrayed a tense interaction where Ryan’s friend, Adam, allegedly launched a “verbal attack”on her. Jacqui’s supporting friend criticized her for enduring their treatment, asserting that she “didn’t deserve it.”
“She’s leaving, I’m leaving, I don’t feel comfortable here,”Jacqui expressed.
Following Adam and Carla’s accusations of demeaning Ryan, an emotional Jacqui recalled her struggle during the incident, revealing that apologies later came from Ryan’s friends. Despite this, she expressed discomfort with their behavior and felt unsupported by Ryan during the heated exchange.
“Instead of apologizing, he just started arguing with me, and I basically told him I’m going back to the apartment,”she explained.
Before departing, Jacqui made a point to say goodbye to Ryan’s dog, Freya, showing the emotional complexity of her situation.
