Reasons Behind Lucas Blaze’s Removal from FaZe Clan

In April 2024, Lucas Blaze was one of several members let go by FaZe Clan amid significant organizational layoffs that followed GameSquare Holdings Inc.’s acquisition of the esports giant. This restructuring coincided with the appointment of Richard “Banks”as FaZe Clan’s new CEO, marking a pivotal transition for the organization.

Alongside Lucas, notable figures such as Booya, Cizzorz, Flea, H1ghSky1, Sway, and Testy were also part of this extensive cutback, reflecting a broader shift in the team’s direction.

Lucas Blaze later shared his perspective on his departure in a candid YouTube video, revealing his feelings about the abrupt move and discussing FaZe Banks’ rationale for the decision. The insights provided shed light on the evolving dynamics within FaZe Clan.

The Reason Behind Lucas Blaze’s Departure from FaZe Clan

During a conversation with popular streamer Adin Ross, FaZe Banks referred to Blaze as a “brother”but also pointed out that the content produced by Lucas was “the furthest thing”from the vision he had for FaZe Clan’s representation. Banks expressed that, over time, he and Lucas had drifted apart and were no longer in communication.

FaZe Banks articulated his stance clearly:

“Blazekin is my f**king brother. I call him Blazekin because that is his OG name, then he started rapping, switched it up to Blaze. Weird sh**. That’s my brother, that’s my blood. At the end of the day, Lucas’ content is like the furthest from how we want FaZe represented, I’m just going to be honest.”

Conversely, Lucas Blaze reflected on his exit during his YouTube segment, mentioning that he first learned about his potential removal from FaZe Clan two months prior, receiving confirmation from FaZe members Temperrr and Apex. This period of uncertainty and introspection left him feeling quite upset.

“I actually found out that I was going to leave FaZe, or get kicked from FaZe, I guess, two months ago. And when I first found out I was really really sad.”

Amidst this challenging time, Blaze also highlighted a significant milestone—his chocolate company, Charged, was acquired by Walmart. He expressed pride in his entrepreneurial journey and extended heartfelt gratitude to FaZe Clan.

“Thank you for letting me be a part of your life. And I genuinely wish you, all of the guys, the original ownership of FaZe, happiness and satisfaction with this brand. I hope you guys make it everything that you want it to be now.”

In related news, fellow FaZe Clan member Adapt recently spoke emotionally about the passing of YouTube personality Phillip “P2istheName.”In his tribute, Adapt conveyed his sorrow and extended condolences to the family and loved ones of P2istheName, demonstrating the close-knit community within FaZe Clan.
