Although both mod types aim to achieve the same outcome — defeating the Coda — they operate differently. Additionally, the optional nature of Potency Mods can sometimes cause confusion. Acquiring and Utilizing Antivirus Mods in Warframe
Antivirus Mods are crucial when confronting Technocyte Coda in Warframe. Serving a similar function to Requiem Mods, each Coda is susceptible to a specific type of malware that can only be countered by one of the eight available Antivirus Mods. Your primary task is to discern which Antivirus Mod will be effective against the current Coda. Unlike the Requiem Mods, there is no need for pattern recognition; instead, you will need to determine the correct mod through trial and error.
You can install up to three Antivirus Mods on your Parazon. If one of these selected mods corresponds with the Coda’s malware type, you’ll effectively reduce its strength. To engage this mechanic, initiate a Technocyte Coda Duet boss encounter and utilize your Parazon to deliver the decisive strike. Successful application of an Antivirus Mod results in an uptick in the Malware Disinfection rate, which is visible on the Lich interface.
How to Obtain Antivirus Mods
To gather Antivirus Mods, you must participate in Antivirus Bounties, a specialized bounty type exclusive to Hollvania. These bounties do not enhance your Chemistry with any Hex members; however, they offer substantial rewards, including up to 11,250 Standing when completed in Steel Path mode. Finishing an Antivirus Bounty will reward you with one of the eight possible Antivirus Mods.
Understanding Potency Mods in Warframe
In contrast to Antivirus Mods, Potency Mods serve as an optional enhancement during encounters with Technocyte Coda. A successful use of an Antivirus Mod initially boosts Malware Disinfection by 5%. Each Potency Mod equipped on your Parazon can further enhance this percentage by an additional 10% or 15% — benefits that are additive.
Bear in mind that Potency Mods occupy the same slots as Antivirus Mods within the Parazon’s top row, allowing for a maximum of two Potency Mods at any given time. Once you’ve identified the right Antivirus Mod, you can fill the remaining slots with Potency Mods, significantly increasing your disinfection capabilities by up to an impressive 35% in a single encounter.
