BLACKPINK’s Jennie Makes History as the First Female K-Pop Solo Artist with 3 Simultaneous Hot 100 Songs

On March 18, 2025, Jennie from the acclaimed K-pop group BLACKPINK made waves by becoming the first female K-pop solo artist to secure three songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This significant achievement was officially announced by Billboard when two tracks from her debut solo album, Ruby, respectively titled “Handlebars”and “Like JENNIE,”charted at positions No. 80 and No. 83.

Additionally, her pre-release single “ExtraL”made a notable return to the Hot 100, landing at No. 99 and managing to maintain its position for a second week. All these tracks are part of Jennie’s album Ruby.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie unveiled her first full-length album, Ruby, on March 7, 2025, in collaboration with Columbia Records and OA Entertainment. The album was distributed domestically by Kakao Entertainment and internationally by Columbia Records. It also led digital album sales in China on platforms like KuGou Music and QQ Music, while reaching the No. 3 position on the Official Albums Chart in the United Kingdom.

Furthermore, the singles “Like JENNIE”and “Handlebars”debuted at No. 36 and No. 41 on the Official Singles Chart, while the album itself made a strong entrance at No. 7 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart.

Jennie’s Ruby Experience Concert

In line with promoting her album, Jennie performed in a three-day concert series called Ruby Experience starting from March 6 to March 15, 2025, across Los Angeles, New York, and Seoul. This event was not only a celebration of her music but also a philanthropic endeavor, with all proceeds supporting recovery efforts for local firefighters in Los Angeles, a region impacted by severe wildfires.

At the Billboard Women in Music 2025 event, BLACKPINK’s Jennie received the prestigious Global Force Award, making her the first Korean soloist to earn this accolade, further solidifying her influence in the music industry.
