Understanding the Meaning of ‘Aggressed’: Insights from Jonathan Majors and Grace Jabbari’s Leaked Audio Conversation

On March 17, 2025, an audio recording allegedly capturing a conversation between actor Jonathan Majors and Grace Jabbari began circulating widely on social media. In this recording, Majors appeared to acknowledge having exhibited aggressive behavior towards Jabbari.

This new development follows Majors’ arrest in March 2023, when the New York Police Department responded to reports of domestic violence at an apartment located at the intersection of West 22nd Street and 8th Avenue. According to reports from People magazine, the alleged victim, later identified as Jabbari, sustained injuries during this incident, although her name was initially withheld.

As detailed by Rolling Stone, the trending audio originates from a phone call between the two individuals that took place in 2022. During the conversation, Jabbari accused Majors of having strangled her and having pushed her against a car. Majors’ response included a notable admission:

“I’m ashamed I’ve ever – I’ve never [been] aggressive with a woman before. I’ve never aggressed a woman – I aggressed you.”

In the conversation, Jabbari reiterated her experience of being strangled, to which Majors acknowledged the behavior:

“Yes, all those things are under ‘aggressed’, yeah. That’s never happened to me.”

When Jabbari pointed out that the incident stemmed from a sarcastic comment she made, Majors responded:

“Well clearly, it’s more than that.”

Settlement of Grace Jabbari’s Lawsuit Against Jonathan Majors

After his arrest, Majors faced serious allegations of assault, strangulation, and harassment, as reported by People. Following the incident, the victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

By the end of 2023, two misdemeanor charges against Majors were dropped, although he was still convicted of lesser charges, including second and third-degree misdemeanor assault.

In March 2024, Jabbari filed a lawsuit against Majors, detailing incidents of alleged abuse that occurred during their relationship. The court documents, obtained by Rolling Stone, included grave claims that Majors had physically abused Jabbari, such as pushing her onto the hood of a car and covering her mouth to muffle her cries for help. Additional allegations included strangling her in their home and striking her head against a marble floor.

According to Page Six, Jabbari suffered a bruise to her back, and Majors reportedly threatened to harm himself if she sought medical attention. Other damaging accusations included an incident in Los Angeles where Majors allegedly pinned Jabbari against a wall.

The legal matters were ultimately resolved in November 2024, after Jabbari chose to withdraw her lawsuit. The details of the settlement were not made public, and both parties’ legal teams filed a joint resolution in Manhattan federal court to close the case.

In a lighter note, a report by the Daily Mail highlighted Jabbari’s ongoing career as a dancer. She has showcased her talents in several notable films, including Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Barbie, and maintains an active presence on Instagram, boasting around 7,000 followers.
