Transformers Squad Busters Event Updates (March 14, 2025): Energon Refunds, Shop Changes, and Additional Information

On March 14, 2025, Supercell introduced notable modifications during the ongoing Squad Busters Transformers event. The update, driven by player feedback, has seen revisions in Energon pricing, item costs in the shop, and adjustments to the Unicron Attacks Mod. While the essential gameplay mechanics remain unchanged, these adjustments are poised to reignite interest among players, particularly with the addition of complimentary Energons and lowered prices for in-game items.

In this article, we’ll delve deeper into the specifics of the recent changes implemented for the Squad Busters Transformers event.

Energon Price Reductions and Refunds in the Squad Busters Transformers Event

One of the standout changes involves a significant reduction in Energon prices at the shop, making characters like Optimus Prime and Elita-One Classic/Supers much more affordable. Initially, the developers miscalculated the average Energon players would earn per match, leading to inflated costs for these exclusive characters.

To rectify this situation, players who bought Optimus Prime or Elita-One at the previous higher prices will receive refunds in Energon. In addition, every player is entitled to an extra 100 Energon as a gesture of goodwill for the pricing errors.

Players have pointed out that prices in the Hatchling Run shop are markedly lower compared to those in the Squad Busters Transformers event shop. Supercell has clarified the rationale behind these pricing differences, emphasizing the need to balance rewards appropriately.

The Hatchling Run mode doesn’t offer additional incentives such as end-of-battle chests or win bonuses. To ensure a fair compensation system for players engaged in this mode, the development team opted to lower the prices of various in-game items available in the Hatchling Run shop.

Unicron’s Return in the Squad Busters Transformers Event

At the launch of the Transformers event, Unicron was present across all game modes, leading to some confusion, particularly given the existence of a specific Unicron Mode. Initially, to maintain competitive balance in the Squad League, the developers decided to remove him from general play, a move that sparked negative reactions from the player community.

Due to technical constraints, a selective removal of Unicron from only the Squad League was not feasible, forcing the team to choose between either keeping him visible in all modes or eliminating him entirely.

After taking player feedback into account, the development team has decided to reinstate Unicron in all game modes, albeit with a reduced spawn rate. Previously, Unicron appeared in approximately 50% of matches; this has now been adjusted for a more balanced gaming experience.
