Kevin Beggs Appointed as Chairman of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences
In a significant leadership transition, Kevin Beggs, the esteemed chair and chief creative officer of Lionsgate Television Group, has been appointed as the new chairman of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (IATAS).

Beggs takes over the role from Fred Cohen, who has overseen the prestigious organization responsible for the International Emmy Awards. These awards celebrate outstanding television content produced outside the U.S., culminating in a gala event held annually in New York City every November.
Cohen’s New Role and Succession
Although Cohen will be stepping down from his chairman position, he will remain actively engaged in the organization as the foundation chairman and an executive committee member. As part of this transition, Bruce Tuchman, currently the secretary of the academy, will step into the treasurer role previously held by Beggs.
