Call of the Night Season 2 Announces Release Window for July 2025 in New Teaser

On March 13, 2025, Fuji TV’s YouTube channel unveiled the inaugural promotional video for the highly anticipated second season of Call of the Night. This teaser not only confirmed the premiere is set for July 2025 but also hinted at exciting new voice cast members, with further details regarding the release being expected in the coming months.

Call of the Night is adapted from a captivating manga created by Kotoyama, which was serialized from 2019 to 2024 over 20 volumes available in both Japanese and English. The anime adaptation premiered in July 2022 and was brought to life by the animation studio LIDENFILMS.

The promotional video kicks off with an engaging dialogue between main characters Nazuna and Kou, suggesting the sequel will seamlessly pick up from the first season’s conclusion. Set to air during the Summer 2025 Anime Season, Call of the Night season 2 will be featured on Fuji TV’s renowned Noitamina block. Starting April 11, 2025, fans can also look forward to the re-broadcast of the first season on the same network.

The newly announced voice cast will introduce Kiku Hoshimi, portrayed by Rina Satou—an accomplished voice actress recognized for her roles in iconic series such as Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War (as Senjumaru), Non Non Biyori (Kaede), Arifureta (Noint), Demon Slayer (Amane), and One Piece (Baby 5).

The primary voice cast features Saori Amamiya as Nazuna Nanakuse (known for Aqua in KonoSuba), Gen Satou as Kou Yamori (Chrome in Dr. Stone), Yumiri Hanamori as Akira Asai (Sagiri in Hell’s Paradise), and Eri Kitamura as Niko Hirata (Mitty in Made in Abyss).

While an official synopsis for the second season has not yet been released, indications from the promotional video suggest that the story will explore Kou’s journey towards becoming a vampire, driven by his feelings for Nazuna.

The series initially follows Kou Yamori, a disillusioned high schooler who finds solace in the night, eventually crossing paths with the alluring vampire, Nazuna Nanakuse. Overwhelmed by his mundane daily life, Kou requests Nazuna to transform him into a vampire, unveiling that this desire may come with unexpected complexities.
