Nikki Glaser Set to Return as Host for the 83rd Golden Globe Awards
Nikki Glaser, an acclaimed stand-up comedian recognized for her impressive accolades including Golden Globe, Grammy, and Emmy nominations, will once again take the stage as the host of the Golden Globe Awards. CBS, alongside the Golden Globes, announced her return for the highly regarded awards ceremony scheduled for January 2026. This event is not only a prestigious occasion that honors achievements in both film and television but also marks the beginning of the awards season’s broadcasting calendar.
During the 82nd Golden Globes Awards on January 5, Glaser made history as the first female solo host of the event, earning high praise from critics and audiences alike.
“Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” Glaser remarked. “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus, who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in season four as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”
Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes, commended Glaser’s performance: “Nikki Glaser brought a refreshing spark and fearless wit to the Golden Globes stage this year. Her sharp humor and bold presence set the tone for an unforgettable night, making the ceremony feel vibrant and most of all fun.”
Glaser, now 40, gained substantial attention with two standout HBO comedy specials released within three years: 2022’s Good Clean Filth and the widely acclaimed Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die in 2024. The latter achieved remarkable viewership, becoming the highest-rated premiere for an HBO comedy special in over two years and securing the largest streaming audience in HBO/Max’s history. This popularity earned her several nominations, including a Writers Guild Award, along with nominations for Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe, and Critics’ Choice Awards.
Recently, Glaser concluded her international The Good Girl stand-up tour, and she is currently on the road, performing in the U.S., Canada, and Australia as part of her Alive and Unwell tour.
The upcoming 83rd Golden Globe Awards will be orchestrated and produced by Dick Clark Productions, and will be broadcast across more than 185 countries and territories worldwide. Viewers who subscribe to Paramount+ with SHOWTIME will be able to enjoy a live stream via the local CBS affiliate on their service, in addition to on-demand options. However, Paramount+ Essential subscribers will only have access to the event on demand the day following its initial airing.
