The New Firehouse Subs x Hot Ones Offerings

Renowned for their hearty sandwiches, Firehouse Subs is elevating its Hook & Ladder sub with these new spicy options. The Spicy Dill Hook & Ladder and Zesty Garlic Hook & Ladder enhance the classic recipe, which typically includes smoked turkey, honey ham, and melted pepper jack cheese.

In an interview with Food and Wine on the launch date, Sean Evans, the host of Hot Ones, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration:

“We kind of created our own little summation of the Hot Ones gauntlet with it. You have your really spicy challenging sub with the Spicy Dill and then something that’s a little first half there with the Zesty Garlic.”

The Spicy Dill Hook & Ladder features the Last Dab Dill Pickle, a hot sauce made from the Carolina Reaper chili, renowned as one of the hottest peppers globally. This sandwich is perfect for spice enthusiasts seeking an exhilarating flavor experience.

For those who prefer a gentler spice level, the Zesty Garlic Hook & Ladder showcases Hot Ones’ Garlic Fresno Hot Sauce. The sauce combines roasted garlic, Fresno chilies, and vinegar, delivering a zesty taste that beautifully complements the smoky profile of the classic Hook & Ladder.
