Isabelle Degeorges to be Honored with Women in Series Award at Series Mania

Isabelle Degeorges, the president of Gaumont Télévision, has been selected as the recipient of this year’s prestigious Women in Series Award, which will be presented at the renowned Series Mania festival dedicated to television and industry professionals in France.

Acclaimed Contributions to International Productions

Degeorges boasts an impressive roster of international hits, including the critically acclaimed series Lupin, featuring Omar Sy, for Netflix, and Becoming Karl Lagerfeld, starring Daniel Brühl, produced for Disney+. Her recent projects further showcase her versatility, with titles such as Signal for Paramount+, Lords of Scam and Pax Massilia on Netflix, as well as The Art of Crime for France Télévisions. In addition, she serves as vice president of USPA, the premier guild for audiovisual producers in France.

Recognizing Her Exceptional Impact

Series Mania’s founder and general director, Laurence Herszberg, lauded Degeorges for her extraordinary career. “Isabelle’s leadership at Gaumont Télévision has significantly advanced French original series and intellectual property on a global scale,”Herszberg stated. “Her work on acclaimed shows like Lupin and Becoming Karl Lagerfeld highlights the extensive impact of her contributions, earning her international acclaim.”

Degeorges will accept her award in Lille on March 25 during the Series Mania awards ceremony and will participate in a fireside chat the following day, March 26.

A Career Beyond Expectations

A Sorbonne University graduate, Degeorges commenced her professional journey at Images et Compagnie, a subsidiary of the Lagardère Group. Since joining Gaumont in 2011, she has played a pivotal role in establishing the company’s French television division and has served as its president since 2013.
