Dragon Ball Sparking Zero: Complete Guide to All World Tournament Battlegrounds

One of the standout features of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is its exciting World Tournament battlegrounds. During a recent preview session with Bandai Namco, I spent most of my time exploring these arenas. After all, who doesn’t appreciate a thrilling tournament arc in anime? This highly anticipated title brings to life all the significant tournament arcs from the Dragon Ball franchise, including the iconic Budokai Tenkaichi, Other World Tournament, and much more.

Additionally, it introduces a unique new tournament and even allows players to create their own! Have you ever thought you could design the ultimate tournament? Dragon Ball Sparking Zero empowers you to construct your dream tournament featuring an extensive roster of characters — including the recently announced characters from GT.

One of the key modes in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is the World Tournament mode. Whether you opt to create a tournament for offline play or challenge yourself against AI opponents, the gameplay possibilities are vast. With over 180 characters available in the game, each tournament promises to offer a unique experience.

All World Tournament options will be unlocked at launch — there were no specific unlocks required during our playthrough. If there are any updates or changes regarding this, we will provide the information accordingly.

Below is a complete list of each tournament along with their respective rules:

Though we didn’t identify significant differences between the Tournament of Destroyers and the Tournament of Power, one World Tournament emerged as our favorite in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero: The Yamcha Games! Yes, everyone’s beloved baseball player has his own unique tournament.

Furthermore, in an amusing twist, this tournament is randomized! Players do not get to select their character or customization options — the game makes those decisions for you.

While numerous gameplay modes are available, I believe tournaments will become a prime venue for many players to showcase their skills. You can also compete online and set up custom tournaments, raising the potential for an esports scene around this exciting gameplay style.
