Label Takes Stern Action Against Employees Leaking Info, Slandering THIS K-pop Group

To protect THIS K-pop boy group, their label announced they will take strong legal action against its employees slandering and leaking the artists’ information.

While numerous artists are suffering from leakage of their personal information and unreleased projects, the company VLAST, PLAVE’s agency, expressed their position after it came to their knowledge that an employee spread internal information on social media.

On March 25, this controversy sparked within PLLI, PLAVE’s fandom, after it was revealed that a VLAST employee had been disclosing private information, slandering the artists and even leaking unreleased music on their personal accounts.

On the 26th, VLAST, PLAVE’s agency immediately addressed this issue and posted an official notice on its website.

Here’s the Full Statement Regarding VLAST Employee’s Internal information leakage:

“Hello, this is VLAST.

We sincerely take responsibility for causing concern to the fans who love PLAVE for the internal information leakage incident that occurred yesterday, and in relation to this, we would like to inform you of the following.

Through reports from fans and an internal investigation, VLAST discovered that certain employees committed the following actions. ① Slandering artists’ self-written songs, ② Filming and information leaks inside the company, ③ Leakage of melodies of unreleased songs, ④ Reselli of official premium goods, ⑤ SNS activities during business hours.

Such acts violate confidentiality agreements and company regulations, thus, disciplinary proceedings against the employee are currently in progress.

In early 2024, VLAST completed legal action against former employees who spread internal information and rumors about the company on social media and we plan to take stern action against this incident, too.

Once again, we deeply apologize for this incident, and to prevent this from happening again we will supplementary measures including strengthening ethics and security training for executives and employees as well as strengthening internal security and internal control systems.

PLLIs Demand VLAST to Fire Employee Who Leaked PLAVE’s Info

Following the notice, the fandom PLLIs also demanded VLAST to fire the employee as well, explaining that they might cause further threats to the leakage of PLAVE’s information.

However, fans explained that the employee must undergo disciplinary actions first before being fired because they won’t be able to do anything anymore once the employee leaves the company.

In particular, PLAVE is a virtual K-pop boy group comprised of five members Yejun, Noah, Bamby, Eunho and Hamin. Behind these aforementioned 2D characters were REAL people, who were voicing and making the songs for the group.

They also actively communicate with the fandom with the help of the AI-technology and SNS.

Lately, there has been leaked information about the real identities behind the virtual members. Internal information has been circulating as well, which has not been officially released yet and the company immediately took action on it.

Meanwhile, PLAVE will hold its first fan concert “Hello, Asterum!”at the Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park on April 13th and 14th. The group truly proved their popularity, after the pre-sale tickets sold out in 10 minutes.
