Jasmine Pineda, a notable figure from the reality series 90 Day: The Last Resort, may need to consider filing for divorce from Gino Palazzolo if she genuinely wishes to build a future with Matt Branis. Initially, I found Jasmine and Gino’s dynamic intriguing, believing their 17-year age difference could work in their favor. However, their recent appearances have raised significant concerns, revealing numerous red flags and leading me to believe their relationship lacks longevity. At one point, Gino nearly ended their relationship entirely, but Jasmine’s emotional plea for another chance resulted in her relocating to the United States.
Despite initial excitement, I soon felt disheartened when Jasmine and Gino returned to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise with plans to marry. Their ongoing unhappiness became increasingly apparent, and it was no surprise to see them featured in season 2 of 90 Day: The Last Resort. I had a strong premonition that their relationship was headed for a breakup, and indeed it did unfold in a shocking manner: Jasmine proposed an open marriage and later disclosed her pregnancy with Matt.
Jasmine’s Pregnancy with Matt
Jasmine & Matt’s Stronger Bond
Initially, Jasmine introduced Matt as merely a friend and gym buddy, but her announcement of pregnancy during the Tell All episode changed the narrative. Her co-star, Rob Warne, publicly criticized her, labeling her as a “cheating wife,”a portrayal Jasmine firmly denied through social media responses. This shocking news not only surprised fans but also left Gino feeling betrayed, as he had long harbored dreams of fatherhood.
While some fans believe Jasmine made a reckless decision by getting pregnant with Matt, she insists it was not a planned occurrence. In my view, Jasmine’s pregnancy signifies a pivotal shift in her future aims. This development seems to nullify any chances of reconciling with Gino, prompting a strong recommendation for her to initiate divorce proceedings and pursue a fresh start. With her future now more secure in the U.S., it seems unwise for Jasmine to remain tied to Gino.
Challenges Arising from Jasmine & Gino’s Open Marriage
Creating a Safe Environment for Her Child

I firmly believe it’s time for Jasmine to permanently close the chapter on her relationship with Gino due to the inherent challenges of an open marriage. While exploring polygamous relationships and fulfilling personal desires can be appealing to some, it is fraught with risks that may not be suitable for everyone.
Although Jasmine hopes that an open marriage might salvage their union, I worry she might be overestimating its potential benefits. Rather than bring healing, it could invite more complications into her life. Moreover, remaining married to Gino presents potential risks to her child’s future.
A turbulent home environment can have detrimental effects on her child’s development—a reality Jasmine surely wants to avoid. Ultimately, the best course of action for her and her child may be a divorce from Gino, allowing her to channel her energy into nurturing her relationship with Matt, who she claims will be an exemplary father. A new beginning with Matt could lead Jasmine closer to the life she envisions.
Jasmine’s Shift Toward Matt
Emotional Disconnect with Gino
Jasmine appears to be spending increasingly more time with Matt, frequently sharing her admiration for him on social media. Her decision to move away from Michigan in order to be closer to Matt indicates she has distanced herself from Gino to such an extent that their marriage may no longer fulfill her needs.
Given the circumstances following season 2 of 90 Day: The Last Resort, it would serve Jasmine well to pursue a legal separation from Gino. Similarly, Gino would benefit from considering divorce as a means to move forward positively from their failed relationship and focus on his own future.
90 Day: The Last Resort airs on Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
