“50 Cent Mocks Floyd Mayweather Over Allegations of Not Purchasing 62 Manhattan Buildings for $402 Million”

On April 8, 50 Cent shared a video clip from the Fighters Corner News YouTube channel that scrutinizes Floyd Mayweather’s assertions regarding a significant real estate investment in Manhattan. This scrutiny follows a report from Business Insider, which found no evidence corroborating Mayweather’s claims of acquiring 62 apartment buildings for an astonishing $402 million. The publication indicated that it could not verify any sales connected to this purported transaction.

In the background of the video, 50 Cent is heard laughing, echoing his disbelief about Mayweather’s claims. Including his signature humor in the caption, he remarked:

“Damn Champ they caught you CAPPIN 🧢 Hahahaaha 😆Time for another exhibition! LOL @50centaction check out my channel.”

To provide context, Mayweather had earlier stated in a late February 2025 social media post that he successfully secured over 60 apartment buildings in Manhattan for around $402 million, claiming that he accomplished this without any external investors.

However, a report released by Business Insider on March 31, 2025, raised questions about the legitimacy of Mayweather’s assertions, citing New York City property records that lacked any evidence of sales. A spokesperson for the NYC Housing Partnership provided clarity on the situation, stating:

“The Housing Partnership has not been advised of any sale, pending sale, or change in ownership. Generally, the partnership would be advised of the transfer and would be party to the transfer. That has not occurred.”

50 Cent’s Ongoing Skepticism of Mayweather’s Ventures

This incident marks yet another instance of 50 Cent publicly challenging Mayweather’s claims regarding his real estate pursuits. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in February 2025, Mayweather spoke about his real estate holdings, asserting:

“I don’t know the exact number. I own, right now, somewhere upwards of 100 buildings or more.. .. I think 99% of my buildings are in New York City.”

According to an article from Complex, 50 Cent expressed skepticism about Mayweather’s claims, sharing a clip of the interview on Instagram with a caption that sarcastically noted:

“Oh my God. If there safe to say, I should say LOL All cap detected. Champ r*tarded anybody buy 60 buildings in New York would make the news. STUPID!”

The rivalry between Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent began in 2012, stemming from a fallout after Mayweather requested 50 Cent’s assistance in managing his company, The Money Team, while serving a sentence for domestic assault. Following Mayweather’s release, 50 Cent alleged that he had not been compensated for his management efforts, claiming Mayweather owed him over $2 million. This dispute led to a series of personal insults exchanged between the two, marking the beginning of their prolonged feud.

Their animosity became particularly memorable during the ALS ice bucket challenge in 2014, when 50 Cent publicly challenged Mayweather to read a page from a Harry Potter book. He promised a donation of $750,000 to charity if Mayweather succeeded in the challenge.

Although Mayweather did not accept the original challenge, he countered with an offer of $1 million for a video of 50 Cent’s son expressing his love for him. Despite their long-standing feud, 50 Cent claimed that they had patched things up in a 2022 interview with The Breakfast Club, revealing that they met in Las Vegas to settle their differences. Nevertheless, 50 Cent continues to taunt Mayweather, with recent events surrounding the boxer’s real estate claims reigniting their rivalry.

As of now, Floyd Mayweather has not issued a response to 50 Cent’s recent comments.
