In the feature film categories, Emilia Pérez triumphed, while Wicked also secured top honors. The animated feature winner was The Wild Robot, and Will & Harper took home the award for best documentary feature. Among television nominees, shows like What We Do in the Shadows, Shogun, and Baby Reindeer earned accolades.
Originally scheduled for January 18, the 75th annual ceremony was delayed due to the wildfires in Los Angeles, emphasizing the unpredictability of large-scale events. Notable highlights from the evening included Jon M. Chu, the mastermind behind Wicked, being honored with the ACE Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award. Additionally, seasoned film editors Maysie Hoy and Paul Hirsch were recognized with career achievement awards for their significant contributions to the industry.
The competition was fierce, with nominees across various categories. Noteworthy contenders in the drama feature film category included Conclave, Dune: Part Two, and Civil War.
