10 Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass Today

Overview of Upcoming Xbox Game Pass Changes

  • On March 31, Xbox Game Pass will remove 10 games from its catalog, including four titles from the Yakuza series.
  • This marks the largest removal wave for Xbox Game Pass in 2025 to date.
  • Notably, eight other titles were removed earlier on March 15.

Xbox Game Pass is set to experience a significant transition today, March 31, as the service bids farewell to 10 games, prominently featuring four entries from the Yakuza franchise. This change represents the most considerable exodus of games from Xbox Game Pass in 2025 so far.

Previously, instances where Microsoft’s subscription service removed a greater number of titles than it added were relatively infrequent; however, this trend appears to be shifting. For example, in February 2025, the service lost 16 games while introducing only eight new ones, highlighting a concerning trajectory for subscribers.

March 31 marks the final opportunity for Xbox Game Pass users to engage with the departing titles, which include significant franchise installments such as Yakuza 0, the Kiwami remakes of the original games, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon from 2020. Additionally, other notable games set to leave are Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, Lil Gator Game, Open Roads, Monster Hunter Rise, and The Lamplighters League. Interestingly, MLB The Show 25’s removal has been slightly delayed, now scheduled to exit the service as part of this broader catalog transition.

This latest wave of game removals represents one of the most extensive and content-rich adjustments the Xbox Game Pass has seen recently. While Lil Gator Game and Open Roads could potentially be completed in a single session, they are short compared to the rest of the list, which features titles that require a considerable investment of time to finish.

No More Yakuza Titles on Xbox Game Pass

The Xbox Game Pass library has seen the gradual removal of Yakuza titles since February 28, when the service first lost entries three and four from the beloved series. Following this latest rotation, there will be no Yakuza games left on the platform. Notably, Yakuza: Like a Dragon had the longest tenure on Xbox Game Pass, first introduced to subscribers in June 2021. In contrast, Lil Gator Game has been a part of the library for less than a year. With these 10 titles slated for removal around midnight local time, Xbox Game Pass will have lost a total of 18 games throughout March 2025.

The upcoming removals will likely be announced alongside the first wave of April 2025 additions. Historical patterns indicate that such announcements occur on the first Tuesday of the month, which falls on April 1. So far, six new titles have been confirmed for launch in April, including Commandos: Origins, South of Midnight, Blue Prince, and Descenders Next, which will arrive in the early part of the month. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Tempopo are also set to debut later in April.
